    摘要: A deadlocked state in which each communication station cannot recognize mutual existence is evaded to form a self-organized distribution type multi-channel wireless network. In some interference situations, a beacon transmission channel selected on a self criterion is not always a receivable channel for all of neighbor communication stations. A communication station receiving interference from another system periodically transmits an interference annunciation signal (IAS) through all channels under no interference, and informs the neighbor stations of the existence and the channel under interference. Thereby, transmission of a beacon is restrained through the channel under interference up to a beacon-unhearable degree.

    摘要: A wireless communications system includes a base station, a plurality of intermediate devices, and a terminal device. Downlink communications may be provided directly from the base station to the terminal device, including control signals which instruct the terminal device where to send uplink data. This enables the base station to directly control scheduling of uplink communications, and in particular to define an uplink route from the terminal device to the base station via one or more intermediate devices. Power is conserved at the terminal device on the uplink because a lower power transmission can be used which although insufficient to reach the base station can reach the intermediate device. The terminal device is not required to determine the uplink path itself and therefore does not require complex, expensive, and power consuming control logic.

The mobile station includes a radio communication that transmits an access request message to a base station via a first communication resource, and receives a timing adjustment in response to the access request message from the base station. The mobile station also includes an adjustment value storage unit that stores the timing adjustment, and a control unit that adjusts access timing corresponding to a second communication resource based on the timing adjustment value stored in the adjustment value storage unit. The radio communication unit then communicates with the base station via the first communication resource and the second communication resource.

Guard regions may be provided in the frequency domain between frequencies of transmissions associated with the first and second base stations.
