    摘要: An ink jet recording apparatus for recording information by ejecting ink fluid on a recording medium includes a recording head, a cap, an ejection restoration mechanism, an atmospheric air opening mechanism and a heating mechanism. The recording head has an orifice and ejects ink fluid from the orifice. The cap covers up a face on which the orifice of the recording head is disposed. The ejection restoration mechanism performs procedures for keeping a state of ejection of ink fluid by the recording head to be good by discharging ink fluid into the cap. The atmospheric air opening mechanism makes an inside of the cap opened to an atmospheric air when the restoration operations are being performed by the ejection restoration mechanism. The heating mechanism heats the recording head at least before the restoration operation is performed by the ejection restoration mechanism.

    摘要: A recording apparatus for performing recording on a recording medium by scanning the medium with a recording device having heads of a plurality of colors has a setting device for setting a color recording mode for recording a color image or a monochromic recording mode for recording a monochromic image, and a drive device having a first recording mode for driving the recording device while reducing a drive load on the recording device and a second recording mode for driving without reducing the drive load. The apparatus also has a determination device for determining the drive load with which the recording means is driven in a unit time on the basis of a data signal corresponding to a region of a scanning recording width of the recording device, and a changing device for changing the drive means into the first recording mode when the drive load determined by the determination device is large, and into the second recording mode when the drive load is small, if the color recording mode is set by the setting device.
