Abstract:
A belt device includes a belt as an endless belt that has a scale with a large number of scale marks formed along the whole circumference of the belt. A sensor reads the scale to obtain scale information. A control device provides control to correct a belt speed, based on scale information read. A scale-mark degradation determining unit determines whether the scale mark is degraded. A belt drive controller continuously provides control to correct the belt speed for a degraded portion until the scale-mark degradation determining unit determines that there is no degradation.
Abstract:
An optical encoder is provided in which a disk is prevented from eccentric rotation. An optical encoder comprises a shaft (2) supported on a bearing (3) in a housing (1), a rotating disk (4) having a code pattern and fixed to the shaft (2), a photodetector element (12) which receives light passing through the rotating disk (4) from a light-emitting element (10) and converts it into an electric signal, and a substrate (13) on which is mounted a circuit for detecting a signal in the electric signal. The shaft (2) is inserted in a hole (4a) opened in the center of the rotating disk (4), the backside of which is seated on a step (2a) of the shaft (2). The optical encoder further comprises a spacer (5) fitted loosely over the shaft (2) and placed on an adhesive (6) spread on the rotating disk (4), a ring (7) for fixing the spacer (5) and the disk (4) tentatively to the shaft (2), and adhesive (8) spread on the spacer (5), the ring (7) and the shaft (2). This structure prevents the adhesive (8) from entering between the thinner part (2b) of the shaft (2) and the hole (4a) of the disk (4) and between the backside of the disk (4) and the step (2a).
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an intermediate transfer member which moves in one direction with a surface thereof facing and contacting an image carrier so as to transfer toner images for multiple colors from the image carrier to the intermediate transfer member to form at least one toner image page having the multiple colors superimposed thereon. An image transfer device transfers the toner image page on the intermediate transfer member to a recording medium or sheet, and a cleaning device, which is movable into contact with or away from the intermediate transfer member at predefined times, cleans the intermediate transfer member. The cleaning device is positioned so that a distance from an intermediate transfer nip portion entrance part to the cleaning device in the moving direction of the intermediate transfer member is greater than a length of the intermediate transfer member occupied by one or more toner image pages and a distance from the intermediate transfer nip entrance part to an intermediate transfer nip exit part.
Abstract:
Speech coding uses a periodic excitation signal source, a non-periodic signal excitation source, a synthesizing unit, a filter, and an error evaluating unit. The synthesizing unit synthesizes a periodic excitation signal and a non-periodic excitation signal output from the above-mentioned sources to generate an excitation sound source signal. The filter regenerates an input speech signal from the excitation sound signal. The error evaluating unit controls the periodic excitation signal source and the non-periodic excitation signal source so that the above-mentioned units output periodic and non-periodic excitation signals which minimize a difference of the regenerated signal from an input speech signal. When the error is minimized, the above-mentioned sound source is supplied to a feedback excitation signal modifying unit. The feedback excitation modifying unit reduces a non-periodic component in the above-mentioned supplied signal so that the non-periodic component is reduced more when the relative amount of the periodic component is greater. The modified signal is fed back to the periodic excitation signal source unit to modify the content thereof.
Abstract:
A speech signal coding apparatus inputs a pitch period generated by coding a speech signal, and outputs information on a range for said pitch period, together with the pitch period. A speech signal decoding apparatus inputs the pitch period and the above information on the range, and determines whether or not the pitch period is within the range. When the pitch period is determined to be within the range, the speech signal decoding apparatus outputs the above pitch period. When the pitch period is determined not to be within the range, the speech signal decoding apparatus outputs as a pitch period a predetermined value within the range.
Abstract:
A plurality of photosensitive drums are arranged such that color-separated light images of an original document are formed respectively thereon. The photosensitive drums are independently driven under equal conditions by a single drive source for preventing image colors, i.e., image positions, from being shifted out of registry on an image transfer sheet.
Abstract:
A composite copying method in full colors, a single color, two colors and black and white and a color copier for practicing the method are disclosed. While toner images of different colors are sequentially transferred onto a paper, the paper is retained by a support member. The timing at which the paper is to be separated from the support member is controllable from outside the copier.
Abstract:
A color copier scans an original carrying a multi-color image in one direction to form toner images of different color components thereof on respective photosensitive drums while moving a transfer sheet in the opposite direction to transfer in registration thereon the several toner images and thereby form a composite color image of the original without reversing the rotational direction of the drums. After the latent image on a given drum is developed with a toner of a respective color, the drum is quenched to remove residual charge by irradiating it with light of a color which is not significantly absorbed by the toner on the drum. The quenching light color differs as between different drums, and for a given drum the quenching light color differs from the color of the light used to form the latent image on that drum.
Abstract:
Multicolored image forming apparatus wherein image processing is accomplished by exposing a photosensitive drum through an exposure optical device to the reflected light beam from the document illuminated with a lamp, reading the document image by an image sensor, energizing, by means of the processed signal of the output of the sensor, each LED in an eraser consisting of an LED array offset from the exposure slit center along the photosensitive drum in the width direction thereof, and erasing it.The light source simultaneously illuminates the document illumination position for slit exposure and a position offset from its center by a distance equal to the displacement between said erase position and the exposure position. The image sensor receives the light beam reflected from the document.
Abstract:
A device for narrowing the breadth of a sheet spring material in an apparatus for manufacturing a taper leaf spring by which the sheet spring is previously subjected to breadth narrowing operation with edge rollers before taper rolling.A shape for narrowing the breadth of a sheet spring material is calculated so that a product after rolling may be within the tolerance. Then, a shape of template thus obtained is detected by a pair of detecting rollers to regulate the interval between the work rollers automatically before taper rolling.
