    摘要: A method of forming a cyan dye image in an exposed silver halide color photographic material comprising a support and a photosensitive silver halide emulsion, said method comprising developing the exposed silver halide color photographic material with a color developing solution containing an aromatic primary amine color developing agent in the presence of a cyan coupler represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein EWG.sub.1 and EWG.sub.2 each represents an electron attractive group having a Hammett's substituent constant .sigma..sub.p value of at least 0.30 or;R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent;R.sub.2 represents a substituent;X represents a hydrogen atom or a group capable of splitting off by a coupling reaction with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent;R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may be bonded to each other to form a ring; provided that R.sub.2 must not be a halogen atom; and a silver halide color photographic material containing the cyan dye forming coupler.
