    摘要: A driving method for a liquid crystal display device is provided. The liquid crystal display device has a wide viewing angle mode and a narrow viewing angle mode. The driving method includes: in the wide viewing angle mode, all the frames of the liquid crystal display device have the same display brightness; in the narrow viewing angle mode, the odd frames and the even frames of the liquid crystal display device have different display brightness. In the narrow viewing angle mode of the liquid crystal display device, by using an alternate driving method of bright frames and dark frames, the mura degree is significantly reduced, and the smoothness of dynamic picture display is improved, thereby improving the use experience of users.

The viewing angle control unit is connected to the display control unit, the viewing angle control voltage generating circuit and the gamma voltage generating circuit. The display control unit is used to control the display panel to realize picture display.     摘要: A method for driving a liquid crystal display device capable of switching between a wide viewing angle and a narrow viewing angle. In a first viewing angle mode, a direct-current common voltage is applied to a common electrode and voltage signals are applied to a first bias electrode and a second bias electrode. In a second viewing angle mode, a direct-current common voltage is applied to the common electrode, a first alternating-current voltage is applied to the first bias electrode and a second alternating-current voltage is applied to the second bias electrode. In addition, in the second viewing angle mode, pixel units covered by each first electrode strip of the first bias electrode have alternating positive and negative polarities, and pixel units covered by each second electrode strip of the second bias electrode have alternating positive and negative polarities.

A plurality of blank areas are defined and surrounded by the first electrodes and the second electrodes, and the third electrodes are respectively disposed within the blank areas.     摘要: A portable electronic device includes a display panel disposed on a front side of the portable electronic device and a back-side keyboard disposed on a rear side of the portable electronic device. The back-side keyboard includes an icon layer and a touch sensing layer. The icon layer provides a plurality of icons. The touch sensing layer is utilized to sense the exact positions of fingers at the rear side of the portable electronic device. Each of the icons is triggered to realize an input operation of the icon when the icon is pressed by a finger from the rear side towards the front side of the portable electronic device. A user is allowed to use their longer fingers to perform an input operation from the rear side of the portable electronic device, for avoiding the drawback of using the thumbs to input and increasing the user experiences for input operation.

    摘要: A display panel comprises a first and a second substrates and a BP liquid crystal layer. A first electrode is provided on the first substrate, a second electrode is provided on the second substrate, and reflection portions each having a first and a second reflection surfaces are provided between the first and second substrates. When light is transmitted to the panel, the light is reflected on the first reflection surface of the reflection portion and the light after the first reflection is transmitted to an adjacent reflection portion through the liquid crystal layer and is reflected on the second reflection surface of the adjacent reflection portion. When different voltages are applied, the liquid crystal layer will shift the phase position of the light passing therethrough, while when there is no voltage, the liquid crystal layer will not shift the phase position of the light passing therethrough.

    摘要: A device and a method for image zooming are provided, in which two FIFO buffer units and a read/write control unit are added between a data storage unit and an image zooming unit. The read/write control unit respectively controls two FIFO buffer units to obtain and output the gray values of the pixels on the two adjacent channels to the image zooming unit in parallel. Then, the image zooming unit calculates gray values of pixels to be inserted between the two adjacent channels to finish interpolation. The image zooming unit need not read the gray values of the pixels on the two adjacent channels in the zooming direction from the data storage unit in series and in turn, but instead, may simultaneously read the gray values of the pixels on the two adjacent channels to pixels to be inserted from the two FIFO buffer units in parallel.
