摘要: A system includes a computing device programmed to generate an aggregated media item that includes individual media items from a plurality of inputs. The aggregated media item combines one or more of the individual media items for a common display. The computing device is further programmed to send the aggregated media item to a media device and receive commands from the media device. The commands identify data from the aggregated media content item to be included in a media output item. The computing device is further programmed to generate the media output item based on the aggregated media content item and the commands.

摘要: Embodiments are directed towards the analysis of the audiovisual content to adjust the timing, duration, or positioning of closed captioning so that the closed captioning more closely aligns with the scene being presented. Content that incudes video, audio, and closed captioning is obtained, and the audio is converted to text. A duration and timing for the closed captioning is determined based on a comparison between the closed captioning and the audio text. Scene context is determined for the content based on analysis of the video and the audio, such as by employing trained artificial neural networks. A display position of the closed captioning is determined based on the scene context. The duration and timing of the closed captioning are modified based on the scene context. The video and closed captioning are provided to a content receiver for presentation to a user based on the display position, duration, and timing.

摘要: Devices, systems and processes for providing geo-located and content-to-comment synchronized user circles are described. For at least one embodiment, a system for facilitating a geo-location based user circle may include a hub configured to facilitate a sharing of comments between a first user and a second user via a user circle. The first user and the second user may be selected for participation in the user circle based upon a circleID associated each of a first user device and a second user device. A first user device, communicatively coupled to the hub, may be configured to facilitate a capture of the comments provided by the first user. A second user device, communicatively coupled to the hub, may be configured to facilitate a presentation of the comments to the second user. And, a second device geoID may be used to indicate a location of the second user device.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for securely providing a media stream from a server device to a remote player via a communications network. A request for a connection is received from the remote player at the server device via the communications network. In response to the request for the connection, an authorization credential is requested from a central server via the communications network. Further, in response to the authorization credential received from the central server, the media stream between the server device and the remote player can be established over the communications network. At least a portion of the media stream may be encrypted based upon the authorization credential.

摘要: A database system is operated to identify segments of a video program by: reviewing social media content published during the broadcast of the program, or during a time period immediately following the broadcast; generating statistics related to use of a particular referencing identifier contained in the reviewed content, wherein the identifier is contextually related to subject matter of the program; identifying, from the statistics, an active time period corresponding to a statistically significant increase in usage of the identifier; creating a data object that indicates the start and end times for a segment of the program, wherein the creating correlates the active time period with the start and end times; and providing access to the data object upon request from a device, to enable the device to process a recorded version of the video program using the data object to selectively present the segment of the program.

Transcoded media files are stored in the data storage so that the portable device maintains a library of stored media programs that can be carried along with the user during commuting, travel and/or other activities. To playback the stored programming, other media player devices use the personal wireless network to securely connect to the portable device and to obtain previously-transcoded content from the data storage of the device.
