摘要： A hydraulic actuator is provided for supporting a load. The actuator includes a cylinder, a lower end closed by a base, and an annular side wall connected between the base and the upper wall. A piston is disposed partially within the cylinder, and includes a rod extending through the upper end of the cylinder, and a piston head that defines a hydraulic chamber with the base. A cylinder chamber is disposed between the base and the piston head and communicates with a fluid source and a fluid return to correspondingly extend and retract the piston. A support member is connected to the cylinder wall, and can be raised to support a tilt saddle member between the piston rod and the load after the piston has been extended.

摘要： A container handling device includes four lifting assemblies that can couple to the lower corner of a container. The device has a rolling subframe with a hydraulic cylinder interposed between the subframe and the portion of the assemblies that couple with the container. The device also has an electrohydraulic set and an electric-power-supply and control unit common to all four lifting assemblies. The frame is fastened to the central member of a yoke that is in the form of a "C", and has a height less than that of the container. The yoke includes, at a lower end, a horizontal angle bracket suitable for going around the external angle of the lower corner of a container and, at its upper end, a horizontal angle bracket capable of going around the corner upright of the container. The portion that couples to the lower corner of the container is included on one of the flanges of the lower horizontal angle bracket. The other flange includes, projecting from an inner face, a stationary positioning tenon.

摘要： A post extracting apparatus is disclosed in which a unitary bent plate of substantial thickness and strength having a "T" shaped aperture located in a plate portion adjacent the bend allows the plate to be slipped down over a T-shaped fence post to fit within about a foot or so of the buried base of the post. The bent plate implement is then rocked into a postgripping position and an upward force is applied to a protruding portion of the plate such as by means of a standard automobile jack. The T-shaped post is wedged by the plate device adjacent its aperture, thus making contact in as many as six (6), and at least four (4) locations on the post, depending on the size and uniformity of the fence posts, gripping the post so as to transfer the upward jacking force to the post causing its extraction.

摘要： A clamping attachment for a jack including two pivoting jaws secured to a frame by means of pivot pins. The pivoting jaws include portions which are contacted by a load inserted between the jaw faces whereby the load causes the jaws to pivot, thereby clamping the load between the jaw faces. The jaws are reversible for adjusting the space between the jaw faces. The jaws may also be fixedly pinned to the frame without pivoting movement. The jaws may be mounted at various positions on the frame to adjust the distance between the jaw faces.

The platform projects in a direction away from the wheel and a restraining chain, connected to the platform and to the lower part of the wheel keeps the platform from moving outwardly away from the wheel when a jack is raised against the platform.
