The extending body is a block through which an extending body passage is formed, wherein the pressure cylinder passage, the cylinder body passage, and the extending body passage are aligned to form a tension member channel. The lightweight jack also includes a strand grabber, the strand grabber mechanically coupled to the extending body. The pressure cylinder, outer cylinder, and strand grabber are made of aluminum, titanium, fiber reinforced plastic, polymers, or carbon fiber.

    摘要: A bottle jack may be manufactured differently or converted (retro-fitted) by replacing a conventional shaft in a main lift piston to be inserted and removed, at will, without tools. The threads in the main lift piston may remain or be removed. A yoke or other head is fitted to provide registration, horizontal restraint, or both against a lifted object, component, or surface to prevent sliding off the head in use. In a smooth-walled-shaft embodiment, a set of risers (spacers, adjusters, trims, or shims) provide an extension height of the shaft, elevating the head with respect to the piston prior to beginning to lift the hydraulic piston.

    摘要: A wall partition lifter has a vertically extending support beam, a sleeve that is freely slidable therearound and has a ledge extending transversely outwardly from one side. An engagement protuberance extends transversely outwardly from a second side. The engagement protuberance engages and vertically supports the wall partition and may comprise a series of hooks adapted to engage complementary slots in the wall partition, and/or a foot plate for supporting a bottom surface of the wall partition. The support beam has a base with a lip that extends beyond one side thereof. An extension actuator such as a jack may be positioned on the lip and engage the underside of the ledge such that when the jack is extended, the sleeve extends vertically, elevating the wall partition. A plurality of bores in the support beam provide a locking mechanism together with a cotter pin to prevent the sleeve from descending beyond a desired elevation, even when the jack is retracted and/or removed.
