摘要: A falling film plate type heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a pressure vessel surrounding an encapsulated stack of plates. Each plate has a primary fluid side and a secondary fluid side. The primary fluid will be a refrigerant—such as R-134a. The secondary fluid will typically be water. A film of refrigerant is applied to the primary fluid side of each plate, where it evaporates by absorbing heat from the secondary fluid on the other side of the plate. The invention uses embossed patterns on the plates to direct the flow of the primary and secondary fluids in a desired pattern. Further, the primary fluid side of each plate has a roughened surface treatment to increase the effective surface area and thereby increase the heat transfer rate.

摘要: A manufacturing method and structure of a heat exchanger for a bathing shower involves two plates welded together to form a passage for cold water. Hot water from the shower drips onto the upper plate and transfer heat to cold water flowing through the passage between the plates. The upper plate may be spot welded to the lower plate at bottoms of frustoconical indentations in the lower plate, the plates may sandwich an adiabatic layer, and/or the passage between the plates may be formed by pipes situated between the plates.

摘要: The invention relates to a heat exchange element (1) for a film heat exchanger intended for distillation or for the evaporation of solutions or suspensions, and to a method for manufacturing the same. The substantially bag-like element is formed by bonding from oppositely positioned plastic heat exchange films (2), evaporation of liquid taking place on the exterior surfaces of the films and condensing of the obtained vapor taking place on the interior surfaces. In the bonding the interior (4) of the element is divided into ducts to direct the travel of the vapor, and according to the invention the films are at the same time stretched in the intervals between the bonding points (3) in order to provide leeway for bulging during the pressurization of the interior of the element. The element (1) may be made up of two heat exchange films (2) stretched by means of heat and a pressure differential between the different sides of the film, the films being bonded directly to each other, or there being bonded, between the heat exchange films to be stretched, one or more straight support films to improve the loadbearing capacity of the element.

摘要: A method and device for rapidly changing at least one of the temperature and the state of a liquid in a container is provided. The container is rapidly rotated about its longitudinal axis. A source of a thin film of a medium having a different temperature than the liquid in the container is provided to thermally affect the container while rotating the container. The container is positioned at an angle to the horizontal of less than 45null, and the position of the container with respect to the thin film source is controlled by angling the axis of the container skewed from the axis of the rotating mechanism. The device can be used to cool liquids such as beverages, warm liquids such as infant formula, and/or make ice cream.

摘要: A vapor compression refrigeration system for cooling a liquid in which there is a spray dispenser for distributing liquid refrigerant over the tubes in a shell-and-tube type evaporator. The differential pressure in the refrigerant flow loop across the evaporator is the sole means of producing a flow through the spray dispenser. The evaporator is operated as a hybrid falling film heat exchanger, that is, in a semi-flooded condition. The lower portion of the evaporator shell is flooded with liquid refrigerant to wet the lower tubes in the tube bundle while the tubes in the upper portion are wetted only by refrigerant spray from the spray dispenser. The system is operated in a steady state condition whereby at least twenty-five percent (25%) of the tubes in the evaporator operate in a flooded heat transfer mode. The system allows a reduction in the amount of refrigerant charge in the system while at the same time avoiding the use of a recirculating system and pump.
