摘要: A plate (1) for a heat exchange arrangement has a first heat transferring surface (A) with a protrusion (7) forming a continuous and closed ridge. This ridge divides said surface into a closed inner region (A1) and an outer region (A2). The inner region (A1) encloses a first inlet porthole (2) and a first outlet porthole (5) for a first medium. The outer region (A2) has a second inlet porthole (3) and a second outlet porthole (6) for the first medium. A heat exchange arrangement comprises a stack of first and second plates of the above type. The protrusions (7) on the first heat transferring surfaces (A) of said plates are connected to each other to separate first channels into first and second flow paths for the first medium. Each first flow path is configured to direct the first medium from a first inlet to a first outlet inside the inner region (A1) and each second flow path is configured to direct the first medium from a second inlet to a second outlet in the outer region (A2), said inlets and outlets being defined between said inlet and outlet portholes (2, 3 and 5, 6 respectively).

摘要: A thermal management unit for a vehicle powertrain includes an integrated oil heater, a control valve, and a pressure relief valve. A remote oil cooler is connected to fluid ports of the thermal management unit. Transmission oil is received into the thermal management unit and is directed to one or both of the transmission oil heater and the transmission oil cooler. A portion of the flow of oil can be internally bypassed through the pressure relief valve to maintain the pressure of the oil below a threshold. The flow of oil is directed through the control valve after having been heated and/or cooled, and the proportions of oil being directed through the oil heater and the oil cooler are determined by the temperature of the oil in the control valve.

摘要: A heat exchanger, such as a water cooled charge air cooler, is disclosed for cooling of charge air with the aid of coolant. In at least one embodiment, the heat exchanger includes charge air tubes and coolant turbulators made of corrugated sheet metal interposed between the air tubes. The turbulators define coolant channels and including at least one turbulating device provided therein. According to at least one embodiment of the invention, at least one channel includes at least one continuously shaped side wall which is non-apertured along its entire length and thus promotes coolant flow along the channel by inhibiting cross flow of coolant to a neighbouring channel.

摘要: [Purpose] In order to provide a cold storage medium container that can be smoothly and reliably filled with a cold storage medium to thereby increase productivity.[Solution] In a cold storage medium container 5 constituting a part of a cold storage heat exchanger, peripheral edge portions of a pair of container members 10 and 12 are brazed to each other to form a body of the container 5 having a cold storage medium filling opening 20 at an end thereof, and the body of the container 5 has an inner fin 11 therein and is filled with the cold storage medium through the cold storage medium filling opening 20 therein. Furthermore, in the cold storage medium container, an engagement portion 13 projects toward inside of the body of the container 5 to engage a part of a corrugated end surface at each end of the inner fin 11, to thereby position the inner fin 11 in the body of the container 5, and a gap is disposed between the end surface at each end of the positioned inner fin 11 and an inner wall of the body of the container 5. In this configuration, the cold storage medium container can be smoothly and reliably filled with the cold storage medium, to thereby increase productivity.

摘要: A heat exchanger tube includes protrusions extending into the internal volume to turbulate a fluid flow for improved heat transfer. The protrusions are arranged to provide dimpled and un-dimpled regions in order to provide increased heat transfer together with decreased pressure drop. A method of transferring heat by flowing a fluid into a tube, turbulating the fluid in a dimpled first tube section, developing a thermal boundary layer in an un-dimpled second section, and turbulating the fluid in a dimpled second tube section is also presented.
