摘要: A hardware system that performs new energy- and water-saving, restorative tasks upon use is provided. In some aspects of the invention, energy-saving hot water recapturing techniques are provided. In a preferred embodiment, the system may push hot water back to a water tank, and halt such pushing after capturing all such hot water. In other aspects, specialized energy-saving pipes further assist the system, and a user's behavior may also assist the system in implementing additional energy and water-saving options and settings, including, but not limited to, a “Final Rinse” option and the timing of ending water service. In still other aspects, a user's ending use of water service a plumbing may also trigger an ending spray of handled parts of those fixtures and, optionally, a soap or antiseptic spray or other secretion. The same technology may be applied to other handles and fixtures, like door handles or elevator buttons.

摘要: A heat exchanger for a shower tray can be arranged in the bottom of the shower tray for the heat recovery from wastewater so as to heat fresh water. To this end, the heat exchanger has a planar cover plate as the drain surface over which the wastewater drains. The cover plate forms the bottom of the shower tray, over which a lid that can be removed without the use of tools is arranged as a tread plate. The heat exchanger preferably includes a distributor element, which is arranged for distributing the wastewater over the drain surface. The distributor element is preferably a retaining element, which retains the wastewater at an upper edge of the drain surface and forms an overflow along the upper edge.

摘要: A waste water heat transfer system for actively transferring heat from waste water to incoming potable water to assist in heating the potable water. The system generally includes a holding tank for receiving wastewater, a heat transfer unit having a refrigeration system and a fluidly connected coaxial heat exchanger, wherein the coaxial heat exchanger receives warmed refrigerant that absorbs heat from the wastewater while travelling through the refrigeration system, a potable water inlet in fluid communication with the coaxial heat exchanger to circulate the potable water within the coaxial heat exchanger and absorb heat from the warmed refrigerant, a buffer tank to receive the warmed potable water from the coaxial heat exchanger, and a hot water heater to receive the warmed potable water from the buffer tank as needed. A controller circuit is used to activate and deactivate the heat transfer unit according to parameters, such as water temperature.
