    摘要: Disclosed is a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, wherein 40 mol % or more of silver halide contained in the silver halide emulsion layer is silver bromide and the silver halide contains 1null10null6 mole or more per mole of silver of a metal complex containing one or more cyanide ligands, and the silver halide photographic light-sensitive material has a characteristic curve drawn in orthogonal coordinates of logarithm of light exposure (x-axis) and optical density (y-axis) using equal unit lengths for the both axes, on which gamma is 4.0 or more for the optical density range of 0.1-1.5. There is provided a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material showing high contrast and high sensitivity.

    摘要: A chemically and spectrally-sensitized emulsion has been described, wherein said emulsion comprising (100) cubic silver halide grains with an average edge length of from 0.2 up to 1.5 &mgr;m, has been spectrally sensitized by addition at least three trimethine dyes: a main spectral sensitizer added in an amount of at least 85 mole % of all spectral sensitizers added, followed by adding a second spectral sensitizer in an amount of not more than 10 mole % and a third spectral sensitizer in an amount of at most 1 mole % wherein at least said main spectral sensitizer has two benzoxazole rings in its chemical structure, at least said third spectral sensitizer has two benzimidazole rings in its chemical structure and wherein the said second spectral sensitizer has a structure more sterically hindered than the structure of the other spectral sensitizers. A light-sensitive silver halide photographic film material coated with such emulsion and a radiographic screen/film combination has been described.

    摘要: A silver halide color reversal photographic material comprising a layer capable of imparting interimage effects, this interimage effects imparting layer comprising a lightsensitive silver halide emulsion comprising silver halide grains satisfying the following conditions (i) to (iii). (i) The silver halide grains have an average silver iodide content of more than 6 to 39 mol %. (ii) Grains occupying 60% or more of a projected area of all the silver halide grains are those of triple or greater multiplicity structure having at least one layer of high silver iodide content, the silver iodide content being 8 mol % or more, which layer of high silver iodide content is one formed using silver in an amount of 15 to 80 mol % based on that used in obtaining final grains. (iii) All the silver halide grains have surfaces having an average silver iodide content of 10 mol % or less.

    摘要: A method has been described of preparing an ultrathin tabular grain emulsion rich in silver bromide, having null111null major faces, wherein tabular grains having a thickness of less than 0.08 nullm exhibit an average aspect ratio of more than 5:1 and account for at least 75%, and more preferably at least 80%, by number of hexagonal grains and a coefficient of variation on average equivalent surface area of less than 0.50, said process comprising: introducing into a temperature-controlled reaction vessel an aqueous dispersing medium and silver, bromide, and, optionally, iodide and/or chloride, and maintaining pBr values within said reaction vessel during grain nucleation and growth that favors the formation and growth of tabular grains, characterized in that at the time said tabular grains are being formed, (a) pH in said reaction vessel is maintained at a value ranging from 0.8 to 10; (b) a gelatino-peptizer is present in the reaction vessel in a concentration of from 0 to 50 g per liter of said dispersing medium, and (c) pBr within said reaction vessel having a value of at least 1.8 is maintained during grain nucleation, wherein nucleation is performed in a reaction vessel at a temperature in the range from 10-60null C. and a pBr value within said reaction vessel is maintained at a value of less than 2.4 during growth, wherein growth is performed in a reaction vessel at a temperature in the range from 40-80null C., and more preferably in the range between 40 and 50null C. in order to reach a grain thickness of less than 0.06 nullm, provided that a gelatin peptizer which is free from calcium ions and has a methionine content of less than 30 micromoles per gram of gelatino-peptizer is present in said dispersing medium during grain nucleation and growth. Moreover a photographic material comprising an emulsion prepared according to the method of the present invention has been claimed.

    摘要: This invention provides a silver halide photographic emulsion having high sensitivity and small processing dependence and a photosensitive material using the emulsion. The silver halide photographic emulsion is characterized in that the variation coefficient of equivalent-circle diameters of all grains is 40% or less, and 50% or more of the total projected area are accounted for by tabular grains meeting conditions (i) to (v) below: (i) the tabular grains are silver iodobromide or silver bromochloroiodide tabular grains having (111) faces as major surfaces, (ii) an equivalent-circle diameter is 3.5 &mgr;m or more and a thickness is 0.25 &mgr;m or less, (iii) a silver iodide content is 2 to 6 mol %, (iv) a silver chloride content is 3 mol % or less, (v) a silver iodide distribution has a quintuple or a higher-order multiple structure.
