Abstract:
An image forming apparatus is provided and includes an image forming unit that forms an image on a recording sheet at an image forming position; a regulating roller that conveys the recording sheet; a supply path from the regulating roller to the image forming position; an inversion path that is configured to merge with a position on the supply path between the regulating roller and the image forming position and bends and inverts the sheet; a return path that is configured on an opposite side of the regulating roller from the supply path to return the recording sheet to the supply path; and a control unit which rotates the regulating roller in a return rotational direction to convey the inverted recording sheet into the return path, and in a feed rotational direction to convey the recording sheet to the image forming position.
Abstract:
In an image forming apparatus, when a first sheet discharger discharges a sheet bearing an image in a first direction from a proximal end to a distal end of the image forming apparatus, a post-processing device performs post-processing including at least one of stapling, punching, stamping, and sorting of the sheet discharged from the first sheet discharger. After a second sheet discharger discharges the processed sheet in a second direction opposite to the first direction in which the first sheet discharger discharges the sheet bearing the image, a sheet stacker stacks the sheet discharged from the second sheet discharger. A sheet conveyance path is provided between the first sheet discharger and the second sheet discharger. An opening is provided between the sheet stacker and an image reader so that the sheet discharged from the second sheet discharger can be retrieved from the sheet stacker in the second direction.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus has a endless conveying belt (50) which conveys a sheet (P) on which an image is to be formed, and is twisted 720 degrees, and a plurality of suspending members which suspend the conveying belt (50). The conveying belt (50) is suspended on the suspending member like a figure of eight, and conveys a sheet (P) by rotation driving of the conveying belt (50).
Abstract:
In an image forming apparatus, the number of components and a size of the apparatus is reduced by realizing both functions for detecting a toner patch image to perform image quality adjustment and for performing precise color adjustment depending on a sheet color with one color sensor. The color sensor is disposed in a vicinity of a transport belt, a reference toner image is formed on the transport belt at a predetermined timing. A color of the reference toner image formed on the belt is detected by the color sensor to adjust development conditions. Further, the sheet is transported in a state where the transport belt is separated from a photoreceptor drum, and the sheet color is detected by the color sensor, and thereafter the transport belt touches the photoreceptor drum to transport the sheet to a transfer portion.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus, such as a printer, having a frame member, wherein there is provided, inside the frame member and on the upstream side of a sheet discharging portion with respect to the sheet conveying direction, a buffering device equipped with a rotary member capable of forward and reverse rotation, and wherein there are formed, along the peripheral surface of the rotary member, a buffering path for causing sheets to stay temporarily, a part of a sheet processing path for conveying sheets to a sheet processing apparatus, and a part of a re-conveying path for re-conveying sheets to an image forming portion.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus, which realizes a buffering function which enables post-processing without decreasing the productivity and increasing the size. At least one image is formed on a sheet. A double-sided sheet conveying path is provided, which the sheet passes when being conveyed back to the image forming unit again to form an image on an opposite side surface of the sheet after an image is formed on one side surface of the sheet. A retaining member is provided on the double-sided sheet conveying path to retain the sheet on the double-sided sheet conveying path. A post-processing device carries out post-processing on sheets on which images have been formed by the image forming unit. A CPU circuit section, which controls conveyance of the sheet, provides control to convey the sheet on which the at least one image has been formed by the image forming unit to the double-sided sheet conveying path, cause the retaining member to temporarily retain the sheet on the double-sided sheet conveying path, and then convey the sheet to the post-processing device.

Abstract:
An image forming apparatus including an image forming portion for forming an image on a sheet fed from a sheet loading portion, a re-feeding path for re-feeding a sheet on which an image is formed by the image forming portion, a first discriminating portion for discriminating a type of a sheet, a second discriminating portion for discriminating a size of a sheet, and a control unit for circulating sheets of the number according to the type of the sheet discriminated by the first discriminating portion and the size of the sheet discriminated by the second discriminating portion in the re-feeding path. When circulating cardboard of an A4R size or a letter R size in the re-feeding path, the control unit circulates sheets of the number fewer than the number of sheets at the time when a plain paper or a recycled paper is circulated in the re-feeding path.
Abstract:
Image forming apparatus including a paper return device for feeding a sheet of paper ejected from a paper output port opening in a main body of the apparatus to its outside back to a paper feeding port also opening in the main body to its outside. For double-sided copying operation, the sheet of paper ejected from the paper output port carrying an image on one side only is returned to the paper feeding port and fed again to an image former from the paper feeding port so that it is not necessary to provide a dedicated paper path for re-feeding the paper. The apparatus includes a paper sensor which senses the paper inserted into the paper feeding port and outputs a paper sensing signal, a discriminator for judging whether the paper return device is in an operating condition, and a paper feed controller which controls a driver for driving a paper feeder such that the paper feeder initiates a paper feed operation when the paper sensing signal is output while the paper return device is in its operating condition.
Abstract:
A sheet guiding device has an electromagnetic shield plate disposed between a re-transportation path for a sheet material and a video controller board, with the bottom surface of the electromagnetic shield plate being used as a sheet guiding surface and a portion of the sheet guiding surface protruding towards the re-transportation path to form a guiding section made of metal and integrally formed with the electromagnetic plate.
