摘要: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided for arranging for shipping a package without the customer needing to generate or apply a shipping label, or any other information, to the package. In one embodiment, a system may comprise a carrier server and a carrier device. The carrier server may receive and store a smart code and shipping information associated with the package, which it may link together. The carrier device may capture the smart code from the package and send a request, including the smart code, to the carrier server for related shipping information. The carrier server may receive the request from the carrier device, retrieve the shipping information based on the smart code, and send the shipping information to the carrier device. The carrier device may receive the shipping information and generate a shipping label for the package based on the shipping information.

摘要: A method of detecting a barcode that in one embodiment includes performing a line segment detection of a barcode image to provide a plurality of line segments, and analyzing the line segments using parallel segment detection to determine a best candidate line segment having a greatest similarity to a remainder of adjacent line segments. The method may further include providing a central bisector of the best candidate line segment, and forming a plurality of parallel lines offset from the central bisector. In a following step, a pixel map is from the central bisector and the plurality of the parallel lines, and an end and a start of the barcode is determined from changes in intensity of the pixels in the pixel map.

摘要: A customer is provided with a personalized retail experience using a retail kiosk or mobile device that is enabled for near-field communication (NFC). The kiosk is provided with customer identifying information through an NFC-based communication with a customer's user device. The kiosk authenticates the customer based on the identifying information, retrieves retail information associated with the customer from a back-end server, and provides the personalized retail experience using the retrieved information. In one example, the personalized retail experience is provided based on customer-input received through an NFC reader of the kiosk. Also, the mobile device can be provided with a retail store identifier through an NFC-based communication link with an NFC tag for the store. The personalized retail experience can then be provided through the mobile device based on retail information for the retail store that is retrieved by the mobile device based on the identifier obtained through NFC.

摘要: A checkout system includes a register machine and a payment machine. The register machine includes a scanner configured to scan a product code on each of one or more products, a communication interface, and a processor configured to control the communication interface to transmit a transaction ID that is based on a customer code read from a medium carried by a customer before transmitting all of one or more product IDs corresponding to one or more scanned product codes. The payment machine is separate from the register machine and includes a code reader configured to read the customer code in the medium, and a processor configured to start retrieving said one or more product IDs in response to reading of the customer code by the code reader and to carry out payment processing based on said one or more product IDs.

摘要: A system and computer-implemented method for searching for regions of interest may include performing a first linear image slice of an object including a machine-readable code associated therewith. Interesting blocks within the first linear image slice may be identified. A determination as to whether at least one isolated interesting block or multiple interesting blocks that are adjacent to one another exist within the first linear image slice may be made, and, if so, at least one blob inclusive of the at least one isolated interesting block or multiple interesting blocks being adjacent to one another may be identified, otherwise, the first linear image slice may be discarded. Respective geometrically shaped area(s) that include respective blob(s) may be formed, where the geometrically shaped area(s) define at least one region of interest is which the machine-readable code is located.

摘要: An improvement is made to a scanning device to increase item throughput at the point of sale (POS). The scanning device implements a mirror that allows a cashier to see hidden or obscured optical codes or bar codes on items. The mirror can reflect an aiming beam from a camera, which also allows the cashier to correctly scan the optical codes or bar codes. The mirror and camera can incorporate different properties to enable both the cashier and a customer to stand on opposite sides of the scanning device and scan items.

摘要: An anti-counterfeit label includes a label body provided thereon with a first code and a second code. The second code is superimposed on the first code. The second code is a combination of code elements of at least one color at at least one position in a region where the first code is located on the label body. An anti-counterfeit system includes a cloud platform and a mobile device. The mobile device is used to scan the image formed by the combination of the first code and second code and send it to the cloud platform. The cloud platform is used to authenticate the image, and send information that corresponds to the image to the mobile device after successful authentication. An anti-counterfeit authentication method is also provided. The label, authentication system and method provide a combination code of the first code and the second code for information authentication.

摘要: The present invention suggests a method for providing a QR code-based service for checking whether or not a cocktail effect of drugs will occur using a smart device, which enables even an ordinary person with no specialist expertise to easily check whether or not a cocktail effect will occur when taking a plurality of drugs and to refrain from administration of a drug which may result in a negative effect, and thus, can prevent the abuse of drugs, by extracting drug information by scanning a QR code provided on the package of the drug to be taken, which a user intends to take, by means of a smart device, determining, using administration information previously registered in a database, whether or not the drug being taken and the drug to be taken cause a cocktail effect due to an interaction caused thereby, and outputting the determination result.

摘要: A tactile anti-forgery method using random raised structures that generates a plurality of labels that can be attached to predetermined products, and each label has a unique label serial number, a label planar printed pattern and a plurality of raised structures randomly arranged on the surface of the label. The various label serial numbers and their corresponding information including the distribution locations of the corresponding; raised structures are established in a system database. A user can connect to the system database via an application in a mobile device, and input a label serial number of a label to be tested to search for the distribution information of the raised structures corresponding to the label. Then, the distribution information of the raised structures on the label to be tested are compared against the distribution information provided by the system database to see if they match using the application and the user's visual and tactile recognitions, for example, to see if the quantity, locations and shapes of the raised structures on the label to be tested match with those from the system database, and if the purportedly raised structures truly feel raised when being touched, thereby achieving effective anti-forgery.
