摘要： Disclosed is a housing with a coin holder for use in a motor vehicle, the housing having a coin holder with a generally vertically aligned coin slot. The coin slot has an arcuate back wall that adjoins a generally planar first side wall to an oppositely disposed and spaced apart generally planar second side wall. The first side wall, the second side wall and the arcuate back wall define a chamber that is dimensioned such that a coin can slide in a generally vertical direction therein. The coin slot also has a throat adjacent to the chamber, the throat having a first flange that extends from the first side wall and a second flange that extends from the second side wall. The first and second flanges define boundaries to a side opening to the chamber, the opening dimensioned such that the coin is retained in the chamber when the coin is aligned in a generally non-vertical orientation. In some instances, the coin slot is D-shaped when viewed from a top direction and can have a bottom surface that is inclined at an acute angle relative to a horizontal plane. The coin slot can also have a cover panel that prevents coins from exiting or bouncing out of and/or exiting a top opening of the D-shaped coin slot when the motor vehicle travels over rough terrain. In other instances, a storage bin can be adjacent to the coin holder and the storage bin and the coin holder can be part of a functional unit that slides or pivots into and out of an instrument panel of the motor vehicle.

The coin bank further comprises a sensor or an IC chip for making a sound and lighting.

摘要： A collection container for collecting and holding moneys, in particular tips, includes an upper portion, a lower portion, and a base. The upper and lower portions may be secured to each other to provide a carafe-shaped container. The lower portion of the container includes an nullunstablenull shape which prevents the container from standing upright. The base includes a recess which is sized and shaped to receive the lower portion of the collection container and thereby provides the necessarily support to maintain the collection container in a vertical and useful orientation. The collection container may either snap-fit into the recess of the base using a channel and a mating flange or, according to a preferred embodiment, may include a flange that slides along channels formed within the base and eventually lock into place. In this latter embodiment, the locking mechanism must be released before the collection container can be removed from the base.

The scraper includes a body having a modified teardrop shape, with a major and minor end, the minor end having a reduced thickness to incorporate a key-ring hole, allowing keys to be added without binding or expanding to an undesired size. The body further includes a depression to allow the user to comfortably grasp the scratcher and use it to remove the protective film of the lottery ticket without strain or discomfort to the user's hand. The scraper includes a recess in the major end of the body into which a coin may be glued or press-fit. The recess is so formed as to allow the coin to be reliably captured therein, while still providing sufficient overhang to allow the edge of the coin to be applied to the lottery ticket surface.

The ultrasonic sensor is operated to measure the round trip transit time of ultrasonic energy reflected back from the closest object in the stack and the number of objects in the stack is calculated on the basis of the known distance and the round trip transit time. A color sensor senses the color of at least one object in the stack to identify the object. In a casino application where the objects are chips of known monetary value, the value of the chips in the stack can be calculated.
