摘要: A cooking assistance device is for weighing a kitchen appliance or food container and then calculating a weight of food contained by the kitchen appliance or container based on a known dry weight. The food weight is provided to cooking aid device (which may be an integral part of the assistance device or it may be a remote device) for providing cooking instructions to a user. The device is thus able to coordinate the use of multiple kitchen appliances or utensils for example when a recipe is being followed by a user, with user instructions, information or advice being provided.

摘要: A system includes a sensor and a tracking subsystem. The tracking subsystem receives an image feed of top-view images generated by the sensor. The tracking subsystem detects an event associated with an item being removed from a rack. The tracking subsystem determines that a first person and a second person may be associated with the event. In response, the tracking subsystem dilates contours associated with the first and second person from a first depth to a second depth until the contours enter a zone adjacent to the rack. A number of iterations is determined for each contour to enter the zone adjacent to the rack. If the first person's contour enters the zone in fewer iterations, the item is assigned to the first person.

摘要: A system for identifying items based on aggregated metadata obtains images of an item. The system extracts a set of features from images of the item. The system identifies a first value of a first feature associated with a first image of the item. The system identifies a second value of the first feature associated with a second image of the item. The system aggregates the first value and the second value. The system associates the item to the aggregated first value and the second value, where the aggregated first value and the second value represent the first feature of the item. The system adds a new entry for each image of the item to a training dataset associated with an item identification model.

摘要: Systems for managing linen inventory that, in various embodiments, comprise a plurality of computerized smart bins that each comprise at least one weight sensor that is adapted to measure a weight of linen items within the respective smart bin. In particular embodiments, each respective smart bin is adapted to weigh items within the respective smart bin, determine a current number of items stored within the respective smart bin based on the measured weight of items within the respective smart bin, and communicate an indication of a number of items that need to be added to, or removed from, the smart bin in order to meet a particular inventory objective. The smart bins may be networked together with each other and/or with other smart devices or other computing devices to facilitate managing items within a facility, such as a healthcare facility.

摘要: This disclosure describes, in part, systems for enabling physical retail stores and other facilities to implement automated-checkout techniques for the purchase of items that are priced per unit weight. For example, the described systems may enable a facility to implement technology where users are able to remove items from inventory locations, where the inventory locations include weight sensors detecting the weights of the items that were removed. The system then determines the prices based on the weights and charges the users for the prices of the items without performing manual checkout of the items. The price of an item is determined based on the weight of the item and the price per unit weight of the item. The systems described herein thus enable customized retail facilities, as opposed to a retail facility that allows automated-checkout only for prepackaged-type or otherwise non-customizable merchandise.

摘要: The disclosure relates to a system for monitoring consumable material quantities, having at least one loading plate having an upper side providing a loading surface, at least two weight sensors arranged spaced apart from one another on a lower side of the loading plate, and at least one monitoring electronics unit connected or connectable to the weight sensors. To make this monitoring more cost-effective and technically simpler, the system has at least two containers arranged adjacent to one another on the upper side of the loading plate for accommodating a quantity of a consumable material in each case, wherein the monitoring electronics unit is configured to ascertain from sensor signals of the weight sensors, generated before and after consumable material is taken from one of the containers, from which container the consumable material has been taken and/or which quantity of the consumable material has been removed.

摘要: Apparatus for detection and identification of footfall, comprises an arrangement of pressure detectors on a horizontal surface; a footfall pattern detector to receive a sequence of signals from each pressure detector in distinguishable manner over a time frame, to build from said signals a time evolution of a footfall event on said horizontal surface; and a tracker to compare different time evolutions, and thereby to connect together different footfall events to track a person or object over said horizontal surface.

摘要: Provided is a new method of measuring an amount of movement of an animal. A measurement value of an animal as a measuring target is sequentially measured with a scale (21), an amount of change in the measurement value obtained in chronological order is calculated, and from division of the amount of change in the measurement value by a weight of the animal, an amount of movement of the animal is measured. Accordingly, weight differences between individual living bodies and in the process of breeding are eliminated, and an amount of movement of an animal based on changes in the weight of the living body can be measured.

摘要: A method used to predict a strength of an ultrasonic weld-joint of a wire-cable comprising the steps of providing a wire-cable, determining a combined-weight, removing a contaminant, removing a solvent, determining a weight, determining a percentage by weight of the contaminant, and determining whether the percentage by weight of contaminant is less than a threshold. Determining the percentage by weight of the contaminant removed from the wire-cable is based on a formula [(Mb−Ma)/Mb]*100, where Mb is the combined-weight of the wire-cable and the contaminant and Ma is the weight of the wire-cable. The threshold of the percentage by weight of the contaminant correlates to the strength of the ultrasonic weld-joint.
