摘要： The invention provides a system of components, methods for assembly, and a hand tool, for adding a male connector to a standard and modified ribbon high definition multimedia (HDMI) cable for field termination or factory installation. The invention also provides a locking plug which can mate with female HDMI connectors with great retaining force. Features of the connector system including the locking top shell, bottom shell, wire holders and the connector core make possible and efficient the addition of a solderless male connector. Features of the modified ribbon type HDMI cable facilitate threading of the wire holders significantly improving the time it takes to assemble a male connector on the cable. The hand tool disclosed is designed to accomplish all steps of assembly for field termination.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a system and method for identifying individual coaxial cables in a bundle of coaxial cables. The system includes a coaxial cable header that is configured for receiving one or more coaxial cables and establishing electrical conductive contact with only a conductive shield on a first end of each cable. The system also includes an electrical tester that is electrically connected to the coaxial cable header such that the electrical tester is configured to transmit signals through the conductive shields of each cable. The electrical tester includes a test probe that is configured to be selectively connected to a second end of each cable. The electrical tester is configured to identify whether the second end of a particular cable that is connected to the test probe corresponds with the first end of a pre-determined cable that is within the coaxial cable header.

摘要： A connector includes a cable tray configured to receive and retain a cable in a stable position and couple with a top cap configured to create an electrical connection with the cable as the top cap is manipulated in a predetermined manner while coupled with the cable tray. An upper surface of the cable tray is configured to receive the cable (e.g., while the cable is generally parallel with the longitudinal axis of the cable tray). The cable tray also includes a finger extending beyond the first end for some distance longitudinally. The finger includes a protrusion that protrudes to some extent in a transverse direction so that a cable-accommodating gap is defined between the protrusion and the first end. The protrusion is configured to bear against the cable and retain the cable in the stable position when the cable is inserted between the protrusion and the first end.

摘要： A flexible printed circuit (FPC) connector assembling fixture is provided for assembling an FPC connector. The assembling fixture includes a base that is set horizontally. A lower slidable carriage is slidably coupled to the base. Upper and lower molds are respectively and rotatably coupled to an upper slidable carriage and the lower slidable carriage. A terminal fitting mechanism and a cover mounting mechanism are respectively mounted to the upper and lower molds. Guide posts are mounted to the base. The upper mold is slidably coupled to the base with the guide posts. The lower mold forms an accommodation chamber. The cover mounting mechanism includes a push rod and first and second slide channels. The second slide channel is in communication with the accommodation chamber and the first slide channel. The push rod is received in and slidably coupled to the second slide channel.

摘要： In some PCB connector embodiments the internal pins of the probe or wire terminal end could be set at between about 0.4 mm to about 2.0 mm provided that the contact point between the male probe end and the mating female connector is about 1.0 mm. Such embodiments would adjust for alternate connector configurations for connectors while maintaining the required HDMI specifications for the contact point. In other embodiments intermediate distances could be used of about 0.4 mm to about 0.5 mm; about 0.5 mm to about 0.6 mm; about 0.6 mm to about 0.7 mm; about 0.7 mm to about 0.8 mm; about 0.8 mm to about 0.9 mm; about 0.9 mm to about 1.0 mm; about 1.0 to about 1.1 mm; about 1.1 to about 1.2 mm; about 1.2 mm to about 1.3 mm; about 1.3 mm to about 1.4 mm; about 1.4 mm to about 1.5 mm; about 1.5 mm to 1.6 mm; about 1.6 mm to 1.7 mm; about 1.7 mm to 1.8 mm; about 1.8 mm to 19 mm and about 1.9 mm to 2.0 mm once again provided that the probe pins are finally configured to meet the about 1.0 mm requirement for the contact point.
