To provide a technique that can contribute to a reduction in a burden of work on a user in an image processing system in which a driver apparatus gives a command for execution of processing to an image processing apparatus and causes the image processing apparatus to execute desired processing.An image processing apparatus that executes, on the basis of a command transmitted from a driver apparatus, predetermined processing corresponding to the command includes a setting-information acquiring unit that acquires setting information indicating setting contents of processing instructed by the driver apparatus, a setting-information displaying unit that displays the setting information acquired by the setting-information acquiring unit, an operation accepting unit that accepts operation for the setting-information displayed by the setting-information displaying unit, and a setting executing unit that executes processing with the setting contents that reflect the operation accepted by the operation accepting unit.

There is provided a technique to contribute to an improvement in convenience of a setting screen for performing setting for a function capable of being executed by an image processing apparatus. A display control apparatus causes plural setting screens to be selectively displayed, which are respectively for performing settings for plural functions capable of being executed by the image processing apparatus and on each of which plural setting items for each of the functions can be displayed, and includes a selection function determination unit to determine that a setting screen for which function among the plural functions has been selected, an item information acquisition unit to acquire information relating to, among the plural setting items relating to the function whose setting screen is determined to have been selected by the selection function determination unit, a setting item to be displayed on the setting screen for the function, and a control unit to display, based on the information acquired by the item information acquisition unit and on the setting screen for the function whose setting screen is determined to have been selected by the selection function determination unit, the setting item to be displayed on the setting screen.

A method and system for automatically configuring a hand-held electronic device for accessing a site on a public network is disclosed. The method and system include establishing a connection to a website server, which is responsible for establishing and maintaining website accounts, and sending information uniquely identifying the electronic device to the website server. The server then sends user account information to the device, including an account ID and password, created based on the electronic device information. The user account information is then stored on electronic device for use the next time the electronic device accesses the website, whereby the user does not have to enter account information in order to establish the ISP connection or the website account before accessing the public network.

An image processing method controls a computer and an image processing device connected to the computer to perform an image processing. The computer includes a plurality of drivers that controls the image processing device. The image processing method includes (a) controlling the image processing device by using one of the plurality of drivers, (b) storing, in a storing unit, error information indicating which one of the plurality of drivers is used when an error is occurred in the controlling step (a), (c) accessing to the error information stored in the storing step (b), (d) selecting a subject driver from the plurality of drivers based on the error information accessed in the accessing step (c), and (e) controlling the image processing device via the subject driver selected in the selecting step (d).

A digital image storage system is for use with a digital camera having a memory. The digital image storage system includes a docking station on which the digital camera is to be placed for taking out digital images stored in the memory of the digital camera, and a digital image storage. The digital image storage is located apart from the docking station for communicating with the docking station. The digital image storage includes a controller that detects a signal from the docking station and automatically causes the taking out of the digital images from the memory of the digital camera subsequent to receipt of the signal, and a storage medium that stores the taken out digital images.

To provide a technique capable of achieving more easy access form an information processing apparatus to a peripheral device while reducing the implementation load in the peripheral device, an electronic apparatus includes a storage unit which stores an operating condition information file to set an operating condition of the electronic apparatus, and a program which is executed by the external information processing apparatus and displays a user interface to refer to or change the operating condition information file, and a control unit which causes the storage unit to function as an external storage device for the information processing apparatus when the electronic apparatus is communicable with the information processing apparatus through the communication unit. The electronic apparatus operates in accordance with the contents of the operating condition information file.

This invention relates to a producer of content who associates information for print control with the content such as a picture, before delivery. Specifically, a digital broadcast receiving device receives this content delivery, and the content is decoded by a data decoding unit via a broadcast receiving unit. A controlling unit judges print control information registered in association with the decoded content, performs image processing in accordance with this print control information, and transmits data for printing to a printing device. The printing device performs printing according to the received data for printing.
