摘要: In order to manufacture parts with an outer profile, a workpiece (32) is pressed by a pressure piece (24) through a ring-shaped cutting tool (34). The cutting tool (34) has a plurality of disks with inner cutting edges (62) for removing material from the workpiece (32). The cutting edges are progressively longer in the advance direction, so that each cutting edge removes material chips and the last cutting edge in the advance direction corresponds to the desired outer profile of the part. In order to improve chip removal, the chip chambers (74) located between the cutting edges communicate with the outside through radial connection openings (128) which are distributed all around their circumference. To hold the workpiece (32) securely on the pressure piece (24), a pressure pad (76) extends through the cutting tool (34) and is supported on the side of the workpiece (32) opposite to the pressure piece (32), and a hydraulic piston (80) generates a compression force on the pressure pad (76). To ensure a high dimensional accuracy, a calibrating tool with a passage whose dimensions at the rear outlet side correspond to the set dimensions of the part to be manufactured is arranged behind the cutting tool.

摘要: An apparatus for treating the inner surface of a vacuum chamber includes a support, means for anchoring the vacuum chamber to the support and holding the vacuum chamber, a broach having a plurality of cutting edges having cutouts, and broach drive means to which the broach arranged on the support is fitted. The broach drive means unidirectionally moves the broach relatively to the vacuum chamber in an axial direction to cut off a contaminated layer on an inner surface of the vacuum chamber. The outer diameter of each cutting edge, excluding the cutouts, is set greater than that of an immediately preceding one in a direction of a rearmost edge face from a front edge face. The apparatus may also include means for supplying an inert gas or a mixture of nitrogen and inert gases to a surface of the vacuum chamber being treated by the broach, or means for supplying a lower alcohol for dissolving contaminants contained in the contaminated layer to the surface of the vacuum chamber being treated by the broach.

The grooving machine comprises a work table (11) on which the work (W) is fixed, a frame (7), an X-axis slider (17) disposed above the work table (11) and horizontally movably supported by the frame (7), a Z-axis slider (19) vertically movably supported by the X-axis slider (17), a tool holder base (75) supported by the Z-axis slider (19), and different kinds of cutting tools (97A to 97C) attached to the tool holder base (75), for grooving the surface of the work (W). Any one of these cutting tools (97A to 97C) is indexed to a cutting position where the work (W) is grooved. The tool holder base (75) has a cutting liquid supply portion (109) for supplying cutting liquid to a cutting zone where the indexed cutting tool cuts the work (W), and a cutting liquid suction portion (111) for sucking and removing excessive cutting liquid.
