    摘要: Methods, systems, and techniques for controlling posture by using eye gaze technology to facilitate position changes in seating, such as in a wheelchair or bed, are provided. Example embodiments provide an Eye Gaze Posture Control System (“EGPCS”) which enables people with advanced motor neuron diseases or disabilities like amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or muscular dystrophy to use eye gaze technologies to control their seating and bed positioning. In one embodiment, the example EGPCS comprises a posture and pressure advisor, logging and telemetry logic, a posture control application, device interface(s) to one or more other devices that control aspects of the powered wheelchair or bed, and eye gaze actuation control. These components cooperate to adjust position of a seat or a bed using eye gaze technology as opposed to by a virtual cursor or by manual control.

    摘要: A linear actuator (1) with a buffering mechanism includes an actuator main body (10), a quick release mechanism (30) and a buffering member (50). The actuator main body (10) includes a housing base (11), an outer tube (14) connected to the housing base (11) and an extendable tube (15) penetrating into the outer tube (14). The quick release mechanism (30) is installed on the actuator main body (10). The buffering member (50) is arranged at one side of the outer tube (14). One end of the buffering member (50) is connected to the outer tube (14) or the housing base (11), and another end of the buffering member (50) is connected to the extendable tube (15). Accordingly, the impact force generated during the rapid retraction of the extendable tube can be reduced.

    摘要: An electric lifting platform retractable upon hitting an obstruction includes a lifting column, a platform, a controller, and a manipulator. The controller comprises a main control unit and a motor driving circuit. An output end of the main control unit is connected to the motor driving circuit. The electric lifting platform further includes a multi-axis sensor module for acquiring obstruction-hitting data of the platform. As the multi-axis sensor module is connected to an input end of the main control unit, the main control unit transmits a control signal to the motor driving circuit after processing the obstruction-hitting data, and the motor driving circuit controls the lifting column to execute a corresponding retracting movement.

    摘要: A patient transport apparatus is provided with a lift mechanism to move a litter relative to a base between lift configurations, a user interface with an input control and an indicator, a height sensor, and a controller. The controller is configured to compare signals generated by the height sensor against a value associated with a transport configuration, operate the indicator in a first state when the signal corresponds to the value to communicate to a user that the litter is arranged in the transport configuration, to operate the indicator in a second state when the signal differs from the value to communicate to the user that the litter is arranged in a lift configuration other than the transport configuration, and to drive the lift mechanism to move to the transport configuration in response to the signal being within a predetermined threshold of value upon user disengagement of the input control.
