Abstract:
A rotary head structure of a lawn sprinkling seat, including a base seat, a sprinkling head and a T-shaped locking body. The base seat is formed with a central water-outgoing connector. The sprinkling head has three radially extending water-outgoing passages spaced by equal angle and an insertion post on bottom face for fitting into the locking body which is screwed into the water-outgoing connector of the base seat. The water is conducted from the base seat to the sprinkling head to flow out from the water-outgoing passages thereof. A free end of each water-outgoing passage is formed with a large diameter hole having a conic peripheral wall for receiving a valve post of a hollow ball valve. The valve post of the ball valve is first passed through a tapered opening of a cylindrical valve sleeve and then fitted into the large diameter hole of the water-outgoing passage and fused therewith by ultrasonic wave. The tapered opening of the valve sleeve has an inclined outer peripheral wall face and an inner peripheral wall face for snugly slidably abutting against the spherical face of the ball valve for angle adjustment thereof. The other end of the valve sleeve is screwed with a threaded neck portion of a cylindrical sprinkling sleeve formed with multiple sprinkling holes by different angles. The end of the sprinkling sleeve is formed with an inclined inner face for snugly contacting with the spherical face of the ball valve to complete the assembly.

An adjustable sprinkler head positioning assembly is disclosed that includes a first conduit member and a second conduit member that are selectively positionable relative to each other and to a drop line fitting so as to position a sprinkler head at a desired location. The first and second conduit members each have an inlet portion and an outlet portion that are offset relative to each other by a predetermined distance. The sprinkler head is positionable anywhere within a circle having a radius equal to the sum of the offsetting distances between the inlet and outlet portions of each conduit member. Elbow couplings further increase versatility. The elbow couplings may have an inlet positioned at a 45.degree. angle or a 90.degree. angle relative to an outlet.A drop line fitting is weldable to a sprinkler drop line and includes a socket for receiving sprinkler system plumbing such as the first and second conduit members.A drop line fitting is releasably secured to a sprinkler pipeline and includes either a socket for receiving sprinkler system plumbing such as the first conduit member or includes a portion having a smooth outer circumferential surface to be received by a socket of sprinkler system plumbing such as the first conduit member.

The present invention provides an improved seal for a metering orifice between an orifice seal member and an orifice housing. The orifice housing includes first and second upper surfaces which are separated by an annular groove or notch, the first surface being adjacent a central bore and recessed from the second surface. The first surface is sealably engaged by a sealing surface provided by the orifice seal member. The orifice seal member includes a stem which is threadably received by the central bore, and which is surrounded by the sealing surface. Threadably mounting the orifice seal member to the orifice housing engages the sealing surface with the first surface and causes the first surface to be compressed, compensating for the derogatory effects of imperfections in the first surface, and, also, moving a cylindrical wall surrounding the central bore radially inwardly toward the central bore to allow the orifice seal member and the orifice housing to sealably engage thereby seal the central bore and allow fluid to only exit via the metering orifice. Alternate embodiments of the invention provide the first surface relatively above and relatively even with the second surface.

The arcuate manifold includes a concave surface having a plurality of spray nozzles directed into the manifold in fluid communication with the primary conduit to direct individual spray applications about the surface of an associated pool filter to enhance cleaning thereof.

An indexing air cap is described comprising an air cap (8), mounted to be adjustably rotatable on the spraygun body (1), a baffle (10) having a recess (12) and a seal (11) of low density plastics material, such as polyethylene, being located between the baffle and the spraygun body. The baffle (10) and the seal (11) having a plurality of holes (16) passing axially through them and being circumferentially spaced from each other. A pin (17) passing through an aligned set of the holes (16) in the baffle and seal to connect with a blind hole (18) in and lock them to the spraygun body (1). Rotation of the air cap through a predetermined angle of 90.degree. indexes the air spray cap to control the radial position and targeting of the spray pattern of the fluid being sprayed. The spray gun body has a mounting aperture which receives a mounting stud. Bevelled washers on the mounting stud are compressed to expand into engagement with the mounting aperture for locking the gun body to the mounting stud.
Abstract:
A method for positioning a number of working implements, for example spray nozzles, to certain working or treatment points on a car body as the latter is supported by an overhead conveyor for travel between different working and assembly stations on a production line. A vertically movable base structure is provided and a working implement carrying frame is movably supported on the base structure. Hydraulic jacks on the base structure are arranged to accomplish a vertical parallel movement of the frame up toward the underside of the car body until one of four contact sensors indicates contact with the latter. A final vertical adjustment of the frame is accomplished by four vertical cylinders which raise the frame in a non-parallel movement until at least three of the four contact sensors indicate contact with the car body. The docking of the frame to the car body is completed by activating two expandable dowels which are introduced into openings in the car body bottom shell. Thereby, the frame is arrested relative to the car body and the spray nozzles are activated to perform the intended treatment of the car body.

A reciprocating device for spray painting an object includes a plurality of mounting arms each having one end releasably retaining a spray painting device and an opposite end releasably coupled to one of a pair of spaced apart generally parallel vertically extending posts. The posts are attached to a driving mechanism which includes a servomotor coupled to one end of a crank arm having its other end rotatably coupled to a sliding block engaging a generally horizontally extending rod to convert the rotary motion of the motor to vertical motion of the rod. The rod is coupled to the ends of the posts and the motor is controlled as to its direction of rotation, speed of rotation and degree of rotation to define the excursion of the reciprocating movement and the speed of the movement. The assembly is mounted on rails for movement toward and away from the object to be painted by another driving mechanism.

An automatic painting system including a non-explosion-proof automatic painting machine which has an arm having a spray gun and an arm housing, the arm and the arm housing being inserted through an opening defined in a side wall of a closed painting booth into the interior of the painting booth. A hermetically sealing bellows is mounted on and extends between a distal end of the arm and an inner surface of the side wall around the opening therein for protecting a portion of the arm which is slidable with respect to the arm housing from the atmosphere in the painting booth. The interior of the bellows is kept in communication with the atmosphere through the opening in the side wall.
Abstract:
An adjustable spa jet water aerator is provided which is very compact, simple, inexpensive, and durable and which provides for easy separate adjustment of water and air flow therethrough. The aerator is directly securable within a spa wall. It comprises a housing defining water and air conduits disposed in side-by-side relation with a cylindrical passageway therebetween and extending perpendicular to the conduits. The passageway extends to the exterior of the housing at the front end thereof. The conduits have openings communicating with the base of the passageway through alignable openings in a pair of sleeves concentrically disposed for rotation in the passageway. Manual rotation of the sleeves individually controls the flow of water and air from the conduits. The inner sleeve defines an aerating chamber in the passageway. An eyeball type nozzle is disposed in the exit end of the aerating chamber and can include a rotatable restrictor ring for adjusting the flow of aerated water from the spa jet aerator.

A liquid dispenser is disclosed which is arranged to dispense a fixed amount of liquid on a workpiece and is then moved away from the workpiece so that no further drops of the liquid fall on the workpiece.
