Abstract:
A bicycle bottom bracket assembly includes an outer tube connected to a bicycle frame and a first inner threaded section and a second inner threaded section are respectively defined in an inner periphery of two ends of the outer tube. An inner tube is received in the outer tube and a first end of the inner tube has a first outer threaded section so as to be engaged with the first inner threaded sections. A flange extends from a second end of the inner tube so that a ball bearing is mounted to the flange. A roller bearing is engaged with an inner periphery of the first end of the inner tube. A positioning ring is engaged with the second inner threaded section of the outer tube. An axle extends through the roller bearing and the bearing.

Abstract:
A roll has a continuous tubular roll shell (11) of a composite material and axle journals (12) rotating together with the roll shell and joined to each end of the roll shell. The axle journals are supported on a supporting element (13) surrounding the axle journal (12) by at least two bearing elements (14, 15) located at a distance from each other in the axial direction (X-X) of the roll, which supporting element (13) for its part is supported on the machine frame structures (R). The first bearing element (14, 15) is supported on the supporting element (13) through a bending mechanism (20, 21), which is used for applying to the first bearing element (14, 15) a force affecting in a radial direction in order to deflect the first bearing element (14, 15) in relation to the central axis (X-X) of the unbent roll, whereby the axle journal (12) will bend in relation to a pivot point which is formed at the second bearing element (14, 15) and a bending moment is applied to the roll shell (11).

A method for manufacturing a microporous film comprising the steps of: (a) providing a first polymer which is a hydrophobic thermoplastic polymer and a second polymer which is a hydrophilic polymer or copolymer of N-vinylpyrrolidone; (b) dissolving said first and second polymers in a solvent system which is compatible with both polymers, said solvent system comprising a blend of an aprotic organic solvent and an alcohol; (c) coating the resulting solution on a support; (d) effecting at least a partial drying of the resulting coating; and (e) washing the coating in an aqueous medium so as to extract at least 50% by weight of the said second polymer. Image accepting members comprising a microporous film made by the above method, and preferably comprising a support which is also microporous.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a charge roller utilizes a foam rubber substance where epichlorohydrin oxide rubber and an acrylonitrile butadiene rubber are mixed at a ratio of 5:95, or utilizing a crosslinking rubber substance consisting of epichlorohydrin oxide rubber and acrylonitrile butadiene rubber having a polar low molecular polymeric characteristic, thus allowing the charge roller to maintain a low volume resistivity of 107 null cm to 108 null cm. As a result, the surface of a photosensitive drum can be charged by a minimum charging voltage, to thereby significantly reduce an amount of ozone. A method of manufacturing a charge roller employs peroxide as a cross linking agent for rapidly cross-linking molecular chains between an epichlorohydrin oxide rubber and acrylonitrile butadiene rubber forming a main composition of a foam rubber substance. Since a non-crosslinked low molecular polymeric substance existing at a resilient rubber is significantly reduced, the low molecular polymeric substance of the charge roller may not be migrated onto a surface of the photosensitive drum even if the charge roller is in contact with a photosensitive drum for a long time period during a stoppage of operation of an image forming apparatus, As a result, the charge roller may not cause an abnormal phenomenon on the surface of the photosensitive drum.
Abstract:
A rolling bearing that attains long life against surface damage such as surface-originating separation or internally originating separation and allows caulking of its shaft end face, a cam-follower with roller employing the rolling bearing, and a cam are obtained. The rolling bearing includes an outer-roller, a roller shaft located inside the outer-roller, and a rolling element interposed between the outer-roller and the roller shaft. At least one member of the outer-roller and the roller shaft has a nitrogen enriched layer. A surface portion of an area in a rolling contact surface where the rolling element rolls has austenite grain size of No. 11 or larger. The end portion has hardness of not larger than HV300.
Abstract:
A maintenance free repetitive sealing system for a disk blade bearing hub utilizing an integrated system of components to seal and protect the primary bearing seal. The blade side of the spindle includes a hub overlap portion which deflects dirt, keeps large debris out, and prevents wrapping. A plastic seal protector keeps dirt and debris from pushing directly into external seal lips of a multiple lip seal. The lip seal provides positive sealing and is backed up by a grease layer barrier. The hub overlap, plastic seal protector, and grease barrier protect the bearing seal. The back side of the bearing hub is positively sealed with a protected O-ring and dust cap combination. The cap combination also protects the blade mounting hardware threads and nut.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a disc roll comprising: a plurality of annular disc members each defining a hole and having a peripheral surface; and a rotary shaft fitted into the holes of the annular disc members by insertion, thereby the peripheral surfaces of the disc members serve as a conveying surface of the disc roll, wherein said disc members have a compression deformation rate of 0.05 to 0.3 mm under a load of 10 kgf/cm, or wherein the disc members comprise an inorganic fiber, mica and a clay having a content of particle components that have a particle size of 5 nullm or larger of not higher than 30% by weight based on the weight of the clay. Also disclosed are methods for producing the disc roll and disc member base materials for obtaining the disc members.

A roller particularly suitable for applying varnishes onto sheet metal plates comprises a hollow roller core (10). The hollow roller core (10) is connected with pins (16,18) via coupling elements (20,22) arranged in the interior of the roller core (10). With respect to the front faces (26), the coupling elements (20,22) are arranged so as to be inwardly offset. Air exit openings are provided in a border region (28) of the roller core (10). A channel forming element (34) is provided to connect the air exit openings (32) with a roller interior (44). Through the channel forming element (34), a channel (36) is formed connected with the roller interior (44) via the opening (42) provided in the coupling element (20).
Abstract:
The bearing clearance is controlled to be negative by a dimensional control process so as to enhance bearing rigidity. A multipole encoder 81 is attached to a slinger, which is a rotating member, of a sealing assembly 13, and a sensor 82 for sensing a change in magnetic flux caused by rotation of the encoder 81 is provided to an outer member 10 that is the stationary side, so as to determine the speed of rotation of the rotating member based on detected data from the sensor 82. Because of the enhanced bearing rigidity, the air gap between the encoder 81 and the sensor 82 is accurately maintained even if moment load is applied to the bearing device.
