    Abstract: There is provided a wheel bearing sealing arrangement for a wheel bearing of a vehicle, comprising an outboard bearing having an outboard periphery intended to face away from a central longitudinal axis of the vehicle and an inboard periphery intended to face towards the central longitudinal axis of the vehicle, wherein the outboard bearing comprises a first race-forming part and a second race-forming part which surrounds the first race-forming part; an outboard seal arranged between the first race-forming part and an opposite part; and a safety washer pressed against the outboard periphery of the first race-forming part, wherein the outboard seal comprises a sealing part pressed against and in direct contact with the safety washer. There is also provided a vehicle comprising such a wheel bearing sealing arrangement.

    Abstract: A roller bearing includes inner and outer rings each having a raceway, an annular space between the raceways, and a plurality of rolling elements and a lubricating grease in the annular space. The raceways have a predetermined roughness value within a first predetermined range, and the lubricating grease contains graphene particles uniformly dispersed in a suspension in the lubricating grease. The graphene particles have an at least substantially circular shape, a diameter within a second predetermined range and a thickness within a third predetermined range. An amount of the lubricating grease in the annular space and the first, second and third predetermined ranges are selected such that a self-regenerating mat of graphene that at least partially coats the raceways will develop in use as a result of a relative rotation between the inner and outer rings and the rolling/sliding of the rolling elements on the raceways.

    Abstract: A manufacturing method of a bearing device for a vehicle wheel (1) includes: a pressure adjusting step of enclosing, in a work chamber (Rw), the bearing device for a vehicle wheel (1) to which a sealing member (9) on an outer side is fitted in the work chamber (Rw), and adjusting a pressure in the work chamber (Rw) to a predetermined atmospheric pressure (Pt) according to an environment of a use area of the bearing device for a vehicle wheel (1); and a sealing step of fitting a cover (12) that seals an inner side opening (2a) of an outer ring (2) or an inner side sealing member (6) that seals between the outer ring (2) and a hub ring (3) or an inner ring (4) to the inner side opening (2a) in the work chamber (Rw) in which a pressure has been adjusted.

    Abstract: A wheel hub bearing unit includes a hub rotatable about an axis and having a flange connectable with a wheel, an inner ball raceway and an inner roller raceway. An outer ring is connectable with the vehicle and disposed about the hub and has an outer ball raceway and an outer roller raceway. A plurality of balls roll upon the inner and outer ball raceways and a plurality of tapered rollers roll upon the inner and outer roller raceways. A difference between a ball pitch circle radius and a roller midpoint circle radius is no greater than five millimeters. A vertex at the intersection of each line extending through the midpoint circle and a line extending through a midpoint of a spacing line segment is spaced from the axis by a radial distance, a ratio of the vertex radial distance to the midpoint circle radius is between 1.5 and 3.0.

    Abstract: In one aspect of the present disclosure, a wheel hub assembly is provided that includes a hub body having an outboard end portion and an inboard end portion, a bearing assembly, and a seal. The seal includes a seal case and a sleeve. The hub body and seal case are rotatable relative to the sleeve. The wheel hub assembly further includes a stop of the bearing assembly configured to resist movement of the sleeve toward the outboard end portion of the hub body as the hub body, bearing assembly, and sleeve are advanced together in an inboard direction along a vehicle spindle. The stop permits the bearing assembly to transfer a force applied in an inboard axial direction against the bearing assembly, such as by tightening of a spindle nut, to the sleeve and urge the sleeve along a vehicle spindle.
