Abstract:
A wheel bearing device at low cost with higher durability is provided. An outer joint member of a constant velocity joint is fitted to an inner periphery of a wheel hub, and the outer joint member and the wheel hub are united by plastic deformation in radially outward direction of a stem part of the outer joint member. The outer joint member is made of a steel material chiefly comprising iron, 0.5 to 0.7 weight % of carbon, 0.1 to 1.5 weight % of silicon, 0.6 to 1.0 weight % of manganese, and inevitable impurities.
Abstract:
A compact bearing device for a drive wheel is provided, which removes backlash within the joint between a wheel hub and a constant velocity universal joint, and increases the rigidity of the bearing device. There is provided a drive wheel bearing device in which a wheel hub and a double-row bearing are integrated into a single unit, and an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint is engaged inside the unit via a serrated section. In this structure, at least one of the inner races of the double-row bearing is formed on a separate inner ring engaged onto the wheel hub, irregularities are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the wheel hub, and radial expansion swaging of the wheel hub is used to cause the irregularities to bite into the inner peripheral surface of the inner ring, thereby fastening the wheel hub and the inner ring together through a plastic deformation section.
Abstract:
A film roll holder for laminators by which a hollow paper tube wound with a film thereon is held around a rolling shaft of a laminator while the film wound around the hollow paper tube is transferred to a heating roller, thus preventing air pockets from being generated between the film and the surface of the objective material and preventing wrinkles from being formed on the film. The film roll holder includes a cylindrical body having a shaft hole axially holed in the cylindrical body; an annular groove circumferentially provided on each of both ends of the cylindrical body; and a plurality of elongated grooves axially provided around an outer surface of the cylindrical body to be spaced apart from each other at pre-determined intervals, and a support blade unit inserted into each of the elongated grooves of the cylindrical body. The support blade unit has a plurality of support blades provided along an outside edge of the support blade unit; and a fitting notch provided at each of both ends of the support blade unit. The film roll holder further includes a rubber ring fitted over each of the annular grooves provided on both ends of the cylindrical body while being placed in the fitting notches of the support blade units, and a cover mounted to each of both ends of the cylindrical body by a plurality of mounting bolts, with a tapered surface provided on an outer end of the cover.
Abstract:
Subassembly of at least two machine parts, the outer machine part, in particular a tensioning roller with a running disk made of steel being fastened with its internal circumferential surface on an external circumferential surface of the inner machine part a raceway ring of a rolling bearing, by means of compression connection, wherein the overlap of the internal diameter of the outer machine part, in particular the running disk, and of the external diameter of the inner machine part, in particular raceway ring, and the dimensions of the machine parts and their materials are selected such that the outer machine part, in particular the running disk, is deformed into the plastic range of material strain.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a disc roll comprising a plurality of disc members each containing a crystalline cordierite or each being capable of generating a crystalline cordierite upon conveyance of a high-temperature article therewith. Also disclosed are methods for producing the disc roll and disc member base materials for obtaining the disc members.
Abstract:
It is an object to provide a thermoplastic elastomer material for a paper feeding roller having all of a high coefficient of friction, great delivery force, a polishing workability and an abrasion resistance which are characteristics to be required for the paper feeding roller. It is preferable that 20 to 80 parts by weight of an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer and 80 to 20 parts by weight of a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer are contained and a total amount of both thermoplastic elastomers is 100 parts by weight.
Abstract:
The invention relates to rolls for use in spreading webs and minimizing the formation of wrinkles therein. The roll has a diameter in its central region that is greater than the diameter proximate its end portions. The diameter can taper straight from the central portion to the ends, can parabolically taper from the central portion to the ends, can utilize a combination of a parabolic shape and straight taper, or other profile variations.
Abstract:
A bearing assembly for bicycle connected to one of two ends of the head tube includes a first race having a skirt portion and a groove defined in an inner periphery of the skirt portion so as to receive beads therein. A second race is engaged with the skirt portion and positions the beads in the groove. An insertion extends from the first race and includes threads defined in an outer periphery thereof. The head tube has two inner threaded sections defined in an inner periphery in two open ends thereof and the insertion is threadedly engaged with one of the inner threaded sections of the head tube.
Abstract:
A wheel bearing device to ensure a sufficient durability and life even with the application of bending moment acting on the wheel bearing device. An outer joint member of a constant velocity joint is fitted into the inside of a wheel hub and a portion thereof is swaged radially outward by plastic deformation to unite the wheel hub and the outer joint member. The outer joint member includes a pilot part adjacent the plastically deformed portion, and the ratio of an inside diameter nulld2 of the pilot part to an inside diameter nulld1 of the plastically deformed portion is set 1.110 or less.
Abstract:
A method for assembling a double row angular contact rolling element bearing unit having an inner element with two raceways, and two separate outer ring pieces each with a single raceway, said outer ring pieces enclosing a gap which is wedge-shaped in a section through the bearing unit axis, and two series of rolling elements which are each accommodated between a raceway of the inner element and a raceway of an outer ring piece, tolerance means being provided between said outer ring pieces for urging said rings away from each other so as to provide the required tolerance (negative, zero or positive) to the bearing, said method comprises the steps of: providing an inner element having two raceways, providing two outer ring pieces each having a raceway, positioning the outer ring pieces around the inner element, positioning the series of rolling elements between the respective raceways of inner element and outer ring pieces, providing an endless tolerance ring, the cross-sectional dimensions of which are larger than the outer diameter of at least one of the outer ring pieces, shifting the tolerance ring up to a position opposite to the gap between the outer ring pieces, plastically deforming the tolerance ring so as to reduce the cross-sectional dimensions thereof and to provide the required tolerance between said tolerance ring and the opposing faces of the outer ring pieces which enclose the wedge-shaped gap.
