    摘要: A linear voice coil actuator is disclosed which includes field subassemblies each including a field blank, and in which at least a one of the field subassemblies includes magnets of alternating polarity positioned on the field blank to form interleaved-magnetic circuits in a direction of motion of the linear voice coil actuator. The field subassemblies are positioned with respect to one another to form a gap between the field subassembly having the magnets, and another of the field subassemblies. Also included is a coil assembly that includes coils positioned in a plane within the gap, wherein the plane is substantially parallel to the direction of motion of the linear voice coil actuator. The field blanks include flux path sections which provide a flux path perpendicular to the direction of motion for each pair of magnets of opposite polarity that are separated by the gap, and which thereby results in the height of the actuator of the present invention being largely independent of the lengths of the magnets employed.

    摘要: A coil construction for a voice coil motor is disclosed. The coil construction includes a series of stacked planar coils disposed on a substrate material. Each planar coil is separated from its neighboring coil or coils by a viscoelastic material to reduce vibration of the coil construction. The coil construction is attached to an actuator arm. Control circuitry creates a current in the coil construction to position a head on the actuator arm. Also disclosed is a method for making a coil for a voice coil motor. The method includes the steps of masking a substrate having a conductive layer with a photoresist, exposing the mask to create a pattern of planar coils, developing the photoresist, and etching the conductive layer to create a planar coil.

In one embodiment the invention comprises an electron beam projection system including at least one process chamber, containing therein, at least one movable stage and at least one electric stage motor for moving the stage, wherein the electrical stage motor includes magnetic coils encased in a coolant jacket which encloses the coils and encloses a coolant material. The coolant jacket includes coolant input lines for supplying coolant to the coolant jacket and includes coolant return lines for allowing the coolant to flow out of the coolant jacket. The process chamber includes electrical leads for supplying electrical current to systems contained within the process chamber and the electrical leads are cooled by passing them through the coolant lines.

    摘要: In an electric discharge machining apparatus using linear motor drive in which a machining power supply unit supplies an inter-electrode space between an electrode (1) and a workpiece (2) with a machining power and the workpiece (2) is machined while the electrode (1) and the workpiece (2) are moved in relation to each other by means of a driving device (8, 9, 10) implemented by a linear motor, a magnet supporting plate (17) for supporting a magnet (16) which is on the secondary side of the linear motor; a base plate (18) formed with at least one hole portion (18a); a spacer (19) for holding the magnet supporting plate (17) and the base plate (18) while leaving a predetermined space therebetween; and a compressor, (23), a dryer (24), a lubricator (25) and a regulator (26) for injecting compressed gas (20) from the hole portion (18a) toward the magnet supporting plate (17) are provided. By making the compressed gas (20) into collision with the magnet supporting plate (17) as a collision jet, the heat conductivity increases, so that it is possible to cool the magnet (16) and the magnet supporting plate (17) efficiently with a simple configuration.

A first position switch connected to the motor, a plurality of travel switches and a final position switch connected with a diode are connected to the actuator. Normal-open switches of the travel switches located between the first position switch and the final position switch are connected to a circuit of the control device. The motor is stopped when the final position switch touches the contact member of the retractable member, the motor is activated, when a current is applied to the diode again.

The new-type secondary structure of a linear stepping motor is mainly composed of several permeance sheets and insulating sheets which are arranged in stagger one by one.
