摘要: A portable terminal includes a receiving unit which receives content information, an external device communication unit which conducts communication with an external information device, a display unit which displays the content information received by the receiving unit, an acquiring unit which acquires identification information identifying the content information displayed by the display unit, an operation unit which receives an operation indication from a user, and a control unit which conducts control such that if a transmission indication of the identification information is received by the operation unit while the content information is being displayed, the identification information acquired by the acquiring unit is transmitted to the external information device and the display of the content information by the display unit is terminated.

摘要: Example techniques relate to cloud queue synchronization. An example implementation may involve a playback device receiving, from a cloud computing system, data representing a play message comprising: (i) a play pointer representing a particular media item; (ii) an indication of one or more media items, the one or more media items including the particular media item; and (iii) a universal resource identifier (URI) representing a location of the particular media item at one or more servers of a streaming audio service. The playback device queues the one or more media items in a local queue stored in data storage of the playback device, streams the particular media item, and plays back the particular media item. After beginning playback of the particular media item, the playback device sends a playback started message comprising the play pointer, the play pointer representing the particular media item as the currently playing media item.

An example implementation may involve a cloud server system receiving a request for a window of media items from a cloud queue of media items that is maintained by the cloud server system and sending, to a playback device, the requested window of media items from the cloud queue of media items. The playback device receives the requested window of media items from the cloud queue of media items and populates a local queue with the media items from the window. The playback device also receives, from a mobile device, a request to modify the local queue, and in response to the request to modify the local queue, modifies the local queue according to the request to modify the local queue.

摘要: An example implementation may involve a computing system receiving, from a media playback system over the network interface, a request to initiate playback of the particular cloud queue at a first media item. The computing system assigns a playhead pointer to a position within the particular cloud queue that corresponds to the first media item and transmits, to the media playback system over the network interface, an instruction that causes one or more playback devices of the media playback system to initiate playback of the particular cloud queue at the first media item. While the one or more playback devices play back the particular cloud queue, the computing system updates the assigned position of the playhead pointer to indicate the currently playing media item of the particular cloud queue.

摘要: An electronic device that reduces relative drift is described. In particular, an interface circuit in the electronic device may calculate, based on differences between transmit times when packets were transmitted by a second electronic device and receive times of the packets, relative drift as a function of time between a clock in the interface circuit and a second clock in the second electronic device. Then, the interface circuit may adjust, based on the relative drift, a clock circuit that provides the clock to eliminate the relative drift, and may store the adjustments to the clock circuit. Furthermore, when a wireless reset occurs, the interface circuit may adapt the clock circuit based on the stored adjustments to reduce the relative drift while the interface circuit restores frequency lock with the second clock based on additional packets with additional transmit times that are received from the second electronic device.

The playback device receives, in response to the request for the window of media items, an indication of a particular window of media items from the cloud queue of media items and incorporates the media items of the particular window into a local queue of media items.

摘要: In a method for identifying a user in a network of broadcast communication receivers, a physical characteristic of a user is analyzed in association with the user accessing a first of the receivers. First biometric information based on the characteristic as analyzed in association with the user accessing the first receiver is generated. Data associated with use of the first receiver by the user is also generated and associated with the first biometric information. The physical characteristic of the user is then analyzed in association with the user accessing a second receiver. Second biometric information based on the physical characteristic as analyzed in association with the user accessing the second receiver is generated. The first and second biometric information are then compared. If the first and second biometric information indicate the physical characteristic of the same user, the data is employed in conjunction with the user accessing the second receiver.

摘要: Embodiments are provided for syncing multiple electronic devices for collective audio playback. According to certain aspects, a master device connects (218) to a slave device via a wireless connection. The master device calculates (224) a network latency via a series of network latency pings with the slave device and sends (225) the network latency to the slave device. Further, the master devices sends (232) a portion of an audio file as well as a timing instruction including a system time to the slave device. The master device initiates (234) playback of the portion of the audio file and the slave devices initiates (236) playback of the portion of the audio file according to the timing instruction and a calculated system clock offset value.
