    摘要: A woofer that is capable of producing a flashing light show depending upon the volume and frequency of the sounds emitted thereby. The woofer includes at least one light emitting diode and a control circuit that are conveniently mounted on a printed circuit board at the center of the woofer at an inconspicuous location below a transparent dust cover so as to achieve a compact configuration without effecting the aesthetic appearance of the woofer. The woofer also includes a magnetic structure having at least one permanent magnet and at least one electromagnetic voice coil that is adapted to move in first and opposite directions towards and away from the permanent magnet depending upon the changing polarities of an alternating current that is supplied to the electromagnetic voice coil. An inside cone from a hollow shell that emits sounds to a listener is coupled to the electromagnetic voice coil so as to move in the first and opposite directions with the electromagnetic voice coil and thereby provide the listener with a powerful dynamic effect.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to turn microphones accurately and quickly toward a sound source. The first microphone pair is rotated by rotation means and driving means, so that the microphones are equidistant from a sound source. The sound picked up by the microphones is analyzed in a plurality of frequency ranges to obtain delay time components of the arrival of the sound wave. The delay time components are averaged with a prescribed coefficients so that the lower frequency components hardly affects the result of the direction detection. The averaged delay is converted into an angle of direction of the sound source. Thus, the microphones pair is directed in front of the sound source on the basis of the direction angle converted from the averaged delay time.

    摘要: An audio-visual reproduction system includes an audio signal source, a video signal source and a plurality of audio-visual reproduction devices connected to the audio source and the video source via respective audio and video channels, each such device thereby reproducing combined audio-visual material. Each device includes an automatic audio volume control circuit, and, positioned near the device, an audio transducer generates an output signal in dependence upon ambient noise in the vicinity of the device. The volume control circuit is arranged to apply a level of gain or attenuation in reproducing the audio signal from the audio source responsively to the audio signal level, so as to reduce the effect of the audio signal component within the ambient noise upon the level of gain or attenuation.

This structure allows an audio reproducing apparatus of the present invention to masking compensation more naturally. This audio reproducing apparatus includes a detecting coil (17) disposed on a bobbin (16) of the speaker (13), and a microphone (15) disposed around the speaker (13). An output signal from the detecting coil (17) and an output signal from the microphone (15) are respectively filtered, and then undergo an adding process. An input signal is adjusted its magnitude based on these processed signals.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for determining a transducers principle operating parameters which utilizes two transfer functions; 1) the transfer function from the pressure response (50) to the voltage drop across the transducer (60); and 2) the transfer function from the pressure response (50) to the current flow through the transducer(70). The parameters of simple filter equations are fitted to these measured response curves. The transducers operating parameters are then calculated directly from the fitted parameters of the filter equations. Several methods for measuring the pressure and determining the appropriate filter equations are shown.

    摘要: An impedance matching circuit couples a microphone's output to a radio's microphone input. A tap circuit is coupled to the microphone's output for extracting an audio signal therefrom. An amplifier circuit having DC blocking circuitry is coupled to the tap circuit. An audio transformer is also provided with its primary and secondary windings defining a turns ratio of approximately 1:1. The primary winding has a characteristic DC resistance that is less than approximately 100 ohms. The secondary winding has an impedance that is within a prescribed impedance range of the microphone input. A driver circuit is coupled between the amplifier circuit and audio transformer for continuously driving the audio transformer.

    摘要: A system and method for a directional microphone system is disclosed. The directional microphone system can adaptively track and detect sources of sound information, and can reduce background noise. A first monolithic detection unit for detecting sound information and performing local signal processing on the detected sound information is provided. In the detection unit, an integrated transducer is provided for receiving acoustic waves and for generating sound information representative of the waves. A processor is coupled to the transducer for receiving the sound information and for performing local digital signal processing on the sound information to generate locally processed sound information. A base unit is coupled to the first monolithic detection unit and includes a global processor which receives the locally processed sound information and performs global digital signal processing on the locally processed sound information to generate globally processed sound information.
