摘要: A heat generator for reducing emissions includes a permanently magnetized, disc-shaped rotor; a stator axially separated from the rotor and in which the rotor induces electric currents as it rotates to generate heat in the stator; and an adjoining cooling duct through which a cooling liquid flows to dissipate heat generated in the stator. The rotor and stator are axially movable in relation to one another to adjust the heat generated in the stator. Heat output is controlled by a member acting axially on the rotor in the direction of the stator with a variable force against the action of a repelling force, and includes a soft magnetic material forming part of the stator. The permanently magnetized rotor and the stator are magnetically attracted to one another, and it is possible to strengthen/weaken their to achieve a predetermined output/speed profile.

摘要: Described is a system designed to warm the transfer chamber used in vacuum equipment in the manufacture of integrated circuits during maintenance. The system detects when the transfer chamber lid is opened and the chamber is exposed to the atmosphere. This activates the heater normally used to bake out the chamber. A temperature sensor is used to keep the temperature below a set point. By warming the chamber, moisture build-up on the inside of the chamber during maintenance is minimized, thereby reducing out gassing and time required to bring the chamber back to its base vacuum pressure when returned to production.

摘要: A unique class of high efficiency heating agents consisting of fibers and in particular ferromagnetic fibers for use in alternating magnetic fields is disclosed which have remarkably and unexpectedly high heating efficiencies. The fibers operate efficiently at lower field intensities; at lower frequencies; and, with smaller diameters (related to skin depths) than prior art technologies. The heating agents may be formed from a variety of materials, for example fibers including ferromagnetic material selected from the group consisting of: iron, nickel, cobalt, chromium and alloys thereof; preferably, the fibers can be selected from the group consisting of: carbon steel fibers, magnetic stainless steel fibers, nickel, ferromagnetic coated electrically conductive fibers, ferromagnetic coated electrically nonconductive fibers. The fibers, which are associated with a host material to be heated, are sized, in accordance with skin effect theory, to heat effectively at a frequency which is substantially higher than the actual frequency to be utilized. The fibers have lower apparent density and/or smaller diameters and/or higher surface areas and/or substantially higher heating efficiency than powder of the same ferromagnetic composition for operation at a given frequency.

摘要: To arbitrarily adjust the diameter of revolution when revolving an object without being associated with rotation by a simple structure. A bearing 322a is mounted to a bottom surface of a supporting plate 310 for supporting an object. First rotation sleeve 322c is rotatably provided inside the bearing 322a. A second rotation sleeve 322d is provided inside the first rotation sleeve 322c. The second rotation sleeve 322d is rotated at a fixed position by means of a rotation driving shaft 321. An inner peripheral surface of the first rotation sleeve 322c is inclined at a certain angle in one direction with respect to the center line of rotation. An outer peripheral surface of the second rotation sleeve 322d is inclined at a certain angle in one direction in correspondence with the inner peripheral surface of the first rotation sleeve 322c. The first rotation sleeve 322 and the second rotation sleeve 322d simultaneously rotate in the circumferential direction, and can relatively move in the direction of the center of rotation. By this relative movement, an amount of eccentricity of the bearing 322a with respect to the rotation driving shaft 321 is adjusted to an arbitrary value including zero.

摘要: Apparatus and method for melting metal in the annulus of an oil or gas well and thereby sealing the annulus to prevent shallow gas leakage and the like. Conveniently, eutectic metal is positioned within the annulus between the production and surface casing of the well and above the well cement. An electrical inductive tool is lowered into position and used to provide the necessary heat to melt the metal. The electrical inductive tool may be removed following the sealing of the annulus. Radioactive tracers may be used with the eutectic metal to confirm the desired location for the melt to occur.

摘要: The invention relates to a process, a device and a receptacle for heating pre-prepared meals, it being possible for these meals to be accommodated in open or closed receptacles and heated by means of induction heating coils. In the catering industry it is customary for prepared meals to be heated by known circulating air ovens, a high energy consumption and relatively long heating times having negative effects, in particular in mobile use. In the case of inductive heating of such prepared meals, it is necessary to use corresponding special kitchenware which is suitable for this purpose. The object of the invention is to achieve the heating in a highly effective manner and with good quality, with low expenditure in terms of time and energy. The solution according to the invention is based on the fact that the items of food accommodated in the receptacles are heated by induction heating coils and hot steam in closed compartments, so that it is possible to reduce the heating time and improve the quality of the pre-prepared meals regenerated in this way.

摘要: An auxiliary heater is provided for heating a heat transferring fluid to a high temperature efficiently in a short time. The heater includes a permanent magnet provided within a housing and a rotary water jacket made of a conductor positioned to face the permanent magnet leaving a slight gap therebetween. The conductor generates slip heat when the water jacket is rotated in relation to the permanent magnet. The heat transferring fluid within the housing is heated by the slip heat generated in the conductor.

摘要: A multi-station induction heat treatment system is used for heat treating metal workpieces that have multiple generally cylindrical components whose axes are parallel to and offset from a common workpiece axis. The heat treatment system includes heat treatment stations that heat treat while the workpiece and inductor components are stationary. The system is particularly suited to the heat treatment of workpieces, such as crankshafts, that have an intervening non-symmetrically shaped component between two substantially cylindrically shaped components, some of which are not coaxial, that must be heat-treated.

摘要: A transverse flux heating coil is disclosed to inductively heat a continuous run of wire. In general, the transverse flux heating coil includes a single loop conductive element having a pair of termination ends extending therefrom and connectable to a power supply. The single loop conductive element is constructed to distribute the majority of the current across a width of the single loop conductive element and forms an internal heating area in which a continuous run of wire is fed therethrough. The flux generated by the current is generally transverse to a direction of travel of the wire through the heating coil. The transverse flux heating coil includes a first conductor having a width facing an internal heating area that is substantially greater than a thickness and is constructed of planar copper bar stock. A second conductor, constructed substantially identical to the first conductor, is arranged parallel with the first conductor to form a pair of elongated flux generating sides of the internal heating area. A third conductor is provided at one end of the transverse flux heating coil to conduct current from one of the first and second conductors to the other. In a preferred embodiment, the third conductor also functions as a cooling tube that is brazed to the first and second conductors. The cooling tube serves to conduct current and transfer coolant and is arranged to allow a straight through path for the continuous run of wire through the transverse flux heating coil.
