    摘要: A lighted exterior mirror system includes an exterior mirror assembly having a folding portion and a non-folding portion. The non-folding portion is configured to mount to a side of a vehicle and the folding portion includes a reflective element. The folding portion is movable relative to the non-folding portion and between a normal operating position and a folded position. A ground illumination light is configured to project a pattern of light from the exterior mirror assembly to provide a lighted zone on a ground area adjacent the side of the vehicle at least at a front door region at the side of the vehicle where occupants may enter/exit the vehicle. The pattern of light projected by the ground illumination light provides ground illumination of at least about one lux illumination intensity at least on the ground area adjacent the front door region at the side of the vehicle.

    摘要: An electrically operable pivoting actuator for a door mirror is disclosed. The pivoting actuator comprises a frame, an electromotor, and an annular coupling member secured onto a horizontally extended support of the door mirror, the coupling member comprising two diametrically opposite protuberances wherein one protuberance is adapted to engage with a stop on the frame for stopping a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation of the coupling member relative to the frame so as to define a predetermined angle α of the fold-in door mirror as an angle between an extreme position of the stop engaged with one protuberance and another extreme position of the stop engaged with the other protuberance. The invention can be produced in a large scale for reducing the manufacturing cost and is adapted to install in any of a variety of door mirrors of motor vehicles without further modifications.

    摘要: The present invention provides a mirror device motor control circuit that can reliably stop a mirror at predetermined positions with a simple configuration. In the control circuit of the invention, part of a lock current flowing to the motor flows to a base terminal of a transistor. Thus, as long as a voltage corresponding to the lock current is equal to or greater than a specific value, this voltage is applied to the base terminal of the transistor, whereby between a collector terminal and an emitter terminal becomes conductive, and the current flowing to a gate of a MOSFET is grounded via the collector terminal and the emitter terminal of the transistor. For this reason, when the lock current flows, conduction between a drain terminal and a base terminal of the MOSFET is released and a drive current of the motor is cut off.

The first and second control circuits include electronic switches respectively that are capable of switching on/off depending on the polarity of an electrical signal switched by the change-over switch. Excess current detecting devices, whose electrical resistances grow with an increase in a current, are connected to the electronic switches in series respectively. And, shutoff switches switch off the electronic switches respectively when a voltage generated in the excess current detecting devices exceeds a predetermined value.

    摘要: A rearview mirror system for vehicles comprises a plurality of base-housing sets adapted for a variety of car body styles, each of the sets comprising a base and a housing incorporating a mirror and adapted for the base, the set being to be installed to the right of the car body; a plurality of base-housing sets adapted for a variety of car body styles, each of the sets comprising a base and a housing incorporating a mirror and adapted for the base, the set being to be installed to the left of the car body; and a plurality of positioning units each coupled to each of the base-housing sets to turn the housing to a viewing position where the housing protrudes laterally from the car body and the mirror gives the driver a necessary rearview to one of parking positions where the housing is directed toward the car tail or the car head. Of the elements which are used to install the positioning unit to the housing, those on the housing side are designed in a same shape for all the housings while those on the positioning unit side are also designed in a same shape for all the positioning units. A projection is formed on the base and concavities are formed in the rotary member and housing or in the rotary member and a member separable from the rotary member and fixed to the housing, respectively. When the projection is engaged into any one of the concavities, the housing is blocked against turning in one of the parking positions.

    摘要: A plug-in side mirror assembly removably attachable to a side portion of a vehicle. The mirror assembly includes a mirror housing connected to a top end of a support arm and a male mounting attachment connected to the bottom end of the support arm. A mounting structure in a side portion of a vehicle has a female receiving socket therein. The male mounting attachment is shaped and sized to removably plug into the receiving socket such that the support arm and the mirror housing are supported at a predetermined position adjacent to the side portion of the vehicle. A heater and positioning motor are coupled to the mirror housing, and electrical wires extend from the heater and motor, through the support arm, and terminate at electrical blade connectors adjacent to the male mounting attachment. The mounting structure has electrical connectors coupled to the vehicle's electrical system and positioned within the female receiving socket to removably receive the blade connectors and operatively connect the heater and motor to the vehicle electric system when the male mounting attachment is plugged into the female receiving socket.
