摘要: An method for automatically panning a view for a commercial vehicle includes analyzing a portion of a first view at a first time to determine a position of a vehicle feature within the first view, wherein the first view is a subset of a second view, estimating an expected position of the vehicle feature in the first view at a second time subsequent to the first time, defining a region of interest centered on the expected position of the vehicle feature in the second view and analyzing the region of interest to determine an exact position of the vehicle feature at the second time, and determining a current trailer angle based on a position of the vehicle feature within the second view.

摘要: A display image is obtained by superimposing an image showing a vehicle on a captured image obtained by capturing an image on a rear side from the vehicle. For example, the image showing the vehicle is a computer graphics image. For example, a change is made in a superimposed positional relationship between the captured image and the image showing the vehicle in accordance with motion of a viewpoint of a driver. Since the display image is not only made from the captured image obtained by capturing an image on a rear side from the vehicle, but the display image is obtained by superimposing the image showing the vehicle on the captured image, it is possible to easily provide a sense of distance by motion parallax.

摘要: A motor vehicle has an internal camera capturing first images including at least one eye of a driver of the motor vehicle. An external camera captures second images. The second images are of a scene behind the motor vehicle. An electronic processor is communicatively coupled to both the internal camera and the external camera. The electronic processor determines, based on the first images, a location of the at least one eye of a driver. The electronic processor transmits a video signal representing a selected portion of mirror images of the second images. The portion of the mirror images of the second images that is selected for inclusion in the video signal is dependent upon the determined location of the at least one eye of the driver. A display screen is communicatively coupled to the electronic processor and displays the video signal.

In accordance with one example, a camera is mounted on a body of the vehicle, and is configured to generate camera images. Each of the camera images includes a plurality of pixels. A processor is configured to at least facilitate analyzing the pixels of the camera images with respect to color, brightness, or both; and determining whether the camera is misaligned in its mounting on the vehicle based on the analyzing of the color, the brightness, or both, of the pixels.

摘要: A cabin monitoring system for a vehicle includes a video display screen disposed in a cabin of the vehicle so as to be viewable by a driver of the vehicle. A camera assembly is disposed at a ceiling of the cabin of the vehicle and includes a camera having an imager and a lens, with the camera having a field of view that encompasses a rear seat area of the vehicle. An illumination device is operable to illuminate the rear seat area encompassed by the field of view of the camera. The illumination device, when operated, illuminates the rear seat area and the camera captures image data representative of the illuminated rear seat area. The image data captured by the camera is provided to the video display screen for displaying video images for viewing by the driver of the vehicle.

摘要: A cabin monitoring system for a vehicle includes a video display screen disposed in a cabin of the vehicle so as to be viewable by a driver of the vehicle. 摘要: A vision system for a vehicle includes an attachment element adhered to the in-cabin surface of a vehicle windshield at a windshield first location and an attachment member adhered to the in-cabin surface of the vehicle windshield at a windshield second location. The attachment element is configured for mounting thereto an interior rearview mirror assembly. An accessory module is configured to attach to and be supported by the attachment member adhered to the in-cabin surface of the vehicle windshield. The accessory module includes a forward facing camera that has a field of view through the vehicle windshield. The forward facing camera may be a component of a collision avoidance system of the vehicle. A light absorbing layer may be disposed at the vehicle windshield to at least partially mask the presence of the attachment element and/or the accessory module from view through the vehicle windshield from outside the vehicle.
