The television device determines that the camera incorporates television device remote control editing capabilities and sends a sequence of television device remote control output signals from a television device remote control to the camera to edit an image stored on the camera. The television device receives the edited image, as edited using remote control output signals, from the camera and generates signals for displaying the edited image on a display associated with the television device. This abstract is not to be considered limiting, since other embodiments may deviate from the features described in this abstract.

摘要： A system includes a display control module, a cursor control device, a graphical user interface comprising a plurality of graphical control elements such as sliders, and a human interface device with keys. A mapping of individual keys or simultaneously selected combinations of keys to sliders is stored by the display control module. A slider is adjustable by the cursor control device while the key mapped to the slider is activated and is disassociated from the cursor control device when the mapped key is deactivated. A computer program product embodiment includes a computer readable medium having computer usable program code for mapping a slider to a corresponding key, activating the slider for adjustment, adjusting the slider with a cursor control device while maintaining a key or combination of keys in the active state, and terminating adjustment of the slider by placing the key in an inactive state.

摘要： Pointing devices such as computer mouse are commonly used for making selections on computer screens. However, prolong or frequent use of such pointing devices might result in users suffering from repetitive stress disorder. Further, due to the widespread use of personal computers (PC), this problem is made more even pronounced. In addition, users increasingly require additional buttons to be provided on the computer mouse for purposes such as PC gaming. Although device manufacturers have started building more buttons on existing computer mice, the buttons are typically not ergonomically positioned. An embodiment of the invention describes an ergonomic input device with multi-programmable buttons.

A method for capturing a feel of a surface comprises contacting the surface with a handheld tool, recording data measured by the tool, and generating a texture model of the surface based on the recorded data. A method for recreating a feel of a surface comprises contacting a virtual surface with a handheld tool, determining an estimated contact force based on the data measured by the tool, generating a vibration waveform from a texture model based on the data measured by the tool; and actuating at least one actuator of the tool according to the vibration waveform. A system for capturing and recreating a feel of a surface comprises a handheld tool, a storage device, and a processor.
