摘要: According to the invention, a system for tracking a gaze of a user across a multi-display arrangement is disclosed. The system may include a first display, a first eye tracking device, a second display, a second eye tracking device, and a processor. The first eye tracking device may be configured to determine a user's gaze direction while the user is gazing at the first display. The second eye tracking device may be configured to determine the user's gaze direction while the user is gazing at the second display. The processor may be configured to determine that the user's gaze has moved away from the first display in a direction of the second display, and in response to determining that the user's gaze has moved away from the first display in the direction of the second display, deactivate the first eye tracking device, and activate the second eye tracking device.

摘要: A sensor controller can be used with both a first stylus that operates in a first communication mode and a second stylus that operates in a second communication mode. The sensor controller performs a dual mode discovery process in which a first discovery process and a second discovery process are alternately performed. During the first discovery process, the sensor controller transmits a search signal for detecting the first stylus. During the second discovery process, the sensor controller performs processing to detect a signal transmitted by the second stylus. When a response to the search signal that is transmitted by the first stylus is detected, an operating mode of the sensor controller is determined to be the first mode. When the signal transmitted by second stylus is detected, the operating mode of the sensor controller is determined to be the second mode.

摘要: In a multi-user, collaborative environment, an operating system state change can occur by passing a stylus pen from one user to another. Upon detecting a change of the active user, a state machine transition can result in a change in a user experience. In one example, a change in the user experience includes a change in user interface (UI) functionality. Some examples include changing color of the digital ink being displayed, changing a handwriting pattern, and automatically switching a view displayed on the user interface. The switched view can be switching from a single-user model to a multi-user model. In another example, a state machine transition can result in establishing connections between devices (e.g., phones or laptops) associated with the users that used the pen.

摘要: A method and system for distinguishing between sources of simultaneous touch events on a touch sensitive device with row conductors and column conductors, the path of each of the row conductors crossing the path of each of the column conductors. Orthogonal signals are simultaneously transmitted on a respective one of the rows. Each column is processed to determine strength of each of the orthogonal signals present thereon. Simultaneous touch locations are associated with a discrete source based on the presence of body-transmitted cross-talk therebetween, as reflected by the determined signal strength corresponding to the touch locations. Alternatively or additionally, a user-coupled signal generator generating another orthogonal signal provides a user-unique signal to the receivers. The signal strength of the user-unique signal is used to associate one or more touch locations with the user coupled to the user-coupled signal generator.

摘要: A cursor generation system includes a digital pen and a computer device. The digital pen includes recognition information, a first wireless communication module, and a displacement sensor. The first wireless communication module is for transmitting a mating request signal, the recognition information, and the displacement information. The computer device includes a cursor application, a processer, a second wireless communication module, and a display. The second wireless communication module mates with the first wireless communication module to receive the recognition information and the displacement information. The processer executes the cursor application corresponding to the recognition information to register a vendor-defined usage page associated with the digital pen. The processor executes the cursor application to generate a cursor icon displaying on the display according to the vendor-defined usage page, reads the displacement information, and controls the shifting and displaying of the cursor icon on the display according to the vendor-defined usage page.

摘要: Software gaming applications may be written to accept an input from one or more standard controllers such a joystick with input buttons. However, multiple wearable sensors or hand held MID devices may enhance the gaming experience. These sensors may include devices such as accelerometers to detect movement of the extremity they are attached to and wirelessly communicate this information to a receiver. Embodiments are directed to using sensor fusion to combine sensor data from multiple wireless input devices, such as wearable sensors and MID devices together to form one logical input stream that is presented to an application and which the application sees are a standard controller.
