    摘要: A connection structure of a waveguide includes a rod-like dielectric, and an outer conductor. A three-dimensional component includes a connection surface, an insertion hole, and a corner which forms an opening edge of the insertion hole over an entire circumference on the connection surface, the connection surface at least partially including a conductive region to which a connection enlarged portion of the outer conductor is connected, the insertion hole having conductivity over an entire circumference of an inner surface, the corner having conductivity and being conducted with the inner surface of the insertion hole. In a state where the waveguide and the three-dimensional component are connected with each other, the connection enlarged portion is electrically conducted with the inner surface of the insertion hole through electrical connection with the connection surface and the corner, and smooth connection is made at the corner.

    摘要: An ultra-high-vacuum (UHV) cell includes an integrated guide stack (IGS) as part of a boundary between an internal vacuum and an external ambient. The IGS is formed by bonding together plural integrated guide components (IGCs). Each IGC includes (prior to the bonding) electrical and/or electro-magnetic (EM) guides defined within a bulk material such as glass or silicon. The electrical guides can be, for example, conductive paths or vias, while the EM guides can include microwave or other RF guides, optical fibers and/or paths along which an index of refraction has been modified along an desired optical path. EM and electrical connections between IGCs can be formed after the IGCs are bonded together to form the IGS. Use of an IGS as a vacuum boundary can provide substantial functionality for manipulating and interrogating quantum particles; the functionality can include, for example, the ability to regulate fields within the UHV cell.

    摘要: The present disclosure provides an over-the-air measurement system for testing a device under test. The over-the-air measurement system includes an orthomode transducer (OMT) assembly having several separately formed orthomode transducer components that form at least two orthomode transducers. The orthomode transducer assembly has at least two output interfaces for feed antennas. Each of the at least two output interfaces is connected with one dedicated orthomode transducer. Two input interfaces are associated with each of the orthomode transducers. Each of the input interfaces merge into a corresponding waveguide transition that ends up in the respective orthomode transducer that is associated with the corresponding input interface. The several orthomode transducer components are stacked together linearly.

    摘要: An antenna system and a method for fabricating an antenna system are disclosed. The antenna system includes a substrate having a top side and a bottom side, a single straight microstrip line on the top side of the substrate, a microstrip power divider (PD) on the top side of the substrate, and a ground plane on the bottom side. An input end of the single straight microstrip line is adjacent and vertical to a first edge of the substrate, and an output end of the single straight microstrip line is open. An input end of the microstrip PD is adjacent and vertical to a second edge of the substrate, and eight output ends of the microstrip PD are open. The first edge is parallel to the second edge. Further, three concentric square slots are etched on the ground plane.

    摘要: Methods and apparatuses for providing a tunable Wilkinson power splitter are presented. According to one aspect, the tunable splitter includes tunable branches realized via lumped elements that provide controlled impedance and phase at different selectable center frequencies of operation. For each of the center frequencies, the tunable Wilkinson splitter has a performance according to a corresponding fixed center frequency Wilkinson power splitter provided by a relatively narrow instantaneous bandwidth. Over a number of the center frequencies supported, performances of the tunable Wilkinson splitter overlap to provide a combined performance having a desired wider bandwidth. According to another aspect, each of the tunable branches includes an LC network that includes tunable capacitors and inductors. One or more of the tunable Wilkinson power splitters can be cascaded to provide a performance according to a wider instantaneous bandwidth.
