    摘要: The disclosure concerns a communication system where adaptive antenna systems with algorithm are used to provide improved channel selection management in Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and other multi-node communication systems. The adaptive antenna systems can be integrated into multiple nodes of a communication network, such as access points used in WLAN, and multiple radiation modes generated and tracked to determine optimal mode for access point to client communication links to assist in channel selection across the nodes in the network. Adaptive antenna system modes are selected and Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) is measured across available frequency channels to determine channels to assign per access point along with radiation modes to be implemented that results in improved SNR for the communication links established in the network.

    摘要: A tunable filter is described where the frequency response as well as bandwidth and transmission loss characteristics can be dynamically altered, providing improved performance for transceiver front-end tuning applications. The rate of roll-off of the frequency response can be adjusted to improve performance when used in duplexer applications. The tunable filter topology is applicable for both transmit and receive circuits. A method is described where the filter characteristics are adjusted to account for and compensate for the frequency response of the antenna used in a communication system.

    摘要: Example aspects of the present disclosure are directed to front end modules for use in communication systems. In one example aspect, a front end module can include a receive path. The receive path can include a low noise amplifier. The receive path can include an analog to digital converter (ADC) circuit operable to receive an analog signal from the low noise amplifier and convert the analog signal to a digital RF receive signal. The receive path can include an ADC post processing circuit operable to process the digital RF receive signal in the digital domain. The front end module can include a transmit path. The transmit path can include a digital to analog converter circuit operable to convert the digital RF transmit signal to an analog RF transmit signal. The transmit path can include a power amplifier.

    摘要: A communication system utilizing reconfigurable antenna systems is described where beam steering and null forming techniques are incorporated to limit the region or volume available for communication with client devices. The communication system described restricts communication to defined or desired area and degrades signal strength coverage outside of a prescribed region. An algorithm is used to control the antenna system to monitor and control antenna system performance across the service area. This antenna system technique is applicable for use in communication systems such as a Local Area Network (LAN), cellular communication network, and Machine to Machine (M2M).
