Abstract:
A mail notification apparatus is provided that enables a user of a cellular phone to know of the arrival of an electronic mail, even when the user is away from his/her office. The mail notification apparatus stores an electronic mail address of a local mail account in association with a mail address of a cellular phone. When it is determined that the electronic mail has arrived at the electronic mail address, the mail notification apparatus notifies, by using electronic mail, the arrival of the electronic mail to the cellular phone through the Internet and a communication vender mail server.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a plurality of destination screens having a plurality of pages, in which a plurality of destination selection keys are displayed. The destination screens are displayed in layers, each screen having a tag to select a desired destination screen. When a specific tag is selected, a page of the corresponding destination screen with a registered destination selection key is displayed. When page scroll key are pressed, the registered destinations can be searched as each page of the destination screens is scrolled in the ascending/descending order. When no more pages can be scrolled in one destination screen, another destination screen is displayed, instead of terminating the operation. Therefore, it is not necessary to perform a separate operation to switch to another screen, when no more pages can be scrolled by pressing a page scroll key. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the operator's burden to find a desired destination, thereby improving the convenience of the operation.
Abstract:
At a predetermined location on a touch panel, a document image in a portrait direction, or a document image in a landscape direction is displayed according to a direction of the scanned document, while displaying a corresponding forwarding image in parallel, on the same screen. Since the direction of the scanning document and the direction of the document at the destination are displayed, it is possible to easily confirm how the scanning image is forwarded to the destination, thereby preventing an error of forwarding the document with the wrong direction.
Abstract:
A powder feeding container is made from paper, resin film, or a synthetic film made with paper and resin film, the container containing powder within, and having a peak at one end, which is formed from an incline that starts from a middle of one edge of the container. The peak end is cut to form a first opening that releases the inside powder, whereas a change proximity area that starts forming an inclined edge is cut, and the rear area from the incision is folded inward, so that air is sent into the first opening along the inner wall of the inclined edge, forming a second opening.
Abstract:
A communication apparatus that is selectively connectable to a communication device. A communicator executes a first communication mode to transmit a first predetermined signal to a communication device that designates a specific mode, and the communication device responds by issuing a second predetermined signal. The communicator executes a second communication mode to transmit a third predetermined signal to the communication device that requests a transmission of the first predetermined signal from the communication device, and upon receipt of the first predetermined signal from the communication device, transmits the second predetermined signal to the communication device. A controller controls the execution of either the first communication mode or the second communication mode upon initializing a communication with the communication device.
Abstract:
An agent side separately maintains a template, which is a management information item list and describes an encoding method, and actual data of the management information. The agent side transmits item list and the actual data that is encoded by the encoding method described in the item list to a manager side. Accordingly, not only the agent can transmit all of the management information items required by the manger with one SNMP reply, but also the manger can securely decode the received management information.
Abstract:
A maximum amount searcher searches maximum carrier energy amount, among the energy amounts of multiple carriers that comprise REVERB signals, and a main controller performs a gain control to bring the maximum energy amount to a target gain amount. At the same time, the same gain control for the maximum energy amount is performed for other carrier energy amounts across the board.
Abstract:
A data communication apparatus includes a communication section that performs pre-communication protocol to exchange a communication function with a communication destination terminal, and transmits data to the communication destination terminal after the pre-communication protocol. A detector detects whether or not the communication destination terminal can perform a short protocol in which at least a communication protocol for line probing is omitted. When the detector detects that the communication destination terminal can perform the short protocol, a controller obtains communication parameters from the communication destination terminal, stores the obtained communication parameters in a memory in association with the communication destination terminal. The stored communication parameters are utilized to perform the short protocol.
Abstract:
A multifunctional printer retains image data in an image memory when paper runs out during a copying operation, until another operation is requested or a predetermined time period expires. Also, the multifunctional printer retains information of the document that has not been recorded in a RAM when erasing the image data. Then, the information is displayed on an operation panel when the document needs to be
Abstract:
A relaying apparatus relays an E-mail to a facsimile destination. The relaying apparatus stores a non-public mail address, which is accessible only by an authorized sender having authorization, and a public mail address, which is accessible to a sender regardless of authorization. A receiver receives the E-mail via a network, a recognizer recognizes a destination address from the received E-mail, and a determination section determines whether the recognized destination address is the non-public mail address or the public mail address. A converter converts the E-mail into a facsimile-format data, when the recognized destination mail address is determined to be the non-public mail address, a relaying section relays the converted facsimile-format data to the facsimile destination according to a facsimile procedure through a telephone network; and an output system outputs the E-mail, when the recognized destination address is determined to be the public mail address, without relaying the E-mail to another facsimile destination.
