Abstract:
A ski chair lift with variable speed drive for each chair. A linear motor is used in lieu of the conventional closed loop tow cable. The stator of the linear motor includes a closed loop I-beam guide rail, electromagnets secured to the top flange of the I-beam, and permanent magnets secured to chair lift carriers which are driven by selective energization of the electromagnets. Failsafe stops and brakes delimit movement of the chairs on the guide rail in the event of a power failure.
Abstract:
A rotary electric machine includes a rotor core, a stator, a field yoke, and a field winding. The rotor core is fixed to a rotary shaft, which includes a magnetic body for forming a magnetic path, and magnetic salient poles. The stator has teeth and a stator winding wound around the teeth by concentrated winding. A slot is formed between adjacent ones of the teeth in a circumferential direction. The field yoke magnetically connects the stator and the magnetic body. The field winding is located in proximity to at least one of the winding ends of the stator winding in an axial direction of the rotary shaft. The field winding generates a magnetic pole on the magnetic salient poles when energized.
Abstract:
An electric motor driving device that drives an electric motor including a field winding, a rotor and a stator, wherein the rotor and the stator each form a field pole by passing a field current through the field winding, includes: a power supply device; a converter including a reactor that at least partially serves as the field winding shared with the electric motor, and configured to receive a voltage from the power supply device to carry out voltage conversion between first and second power lines and to pass the field current through the field winding during voltage conversion operation; an inverter configured to convert a direct-current power received from the converter to an alternating-current power for driving the electric motor; and a controller controlling the converter so that a current flows through the field winding in the same direction both during power running and regeneration of the electric motor.
Abstract:
A silent chain using double-sided driving link plates having symmetrical upper and lower teeth has a problem that it is unable to assure a required risky sectional area of the plates because a width between upper and lower crotches is narrow. The invention provides a silent chain using double-sided driving link plates whose required risky sectional area is maintained by using link plate whose back side is undercut and whose upper and lower parts are unsymmetrical even though its front side has a shape of a normal link plate. A distance from a line connecting centers of pin holes to a bottom of an upper-side crotch is equal to or more than ½ of a diameter of the pin hole to assure the risky sectional area. Teeth of the back side are cut away to form a flat surface to assure a contact area with a shoe and others.
Abstract:
One end of a cylindrical mount 10 is attached to an end of a cylindrical base 30 that is to be inserted into a socket of a lighting fixture. The end of the mount 10 is rotatable around a central axis of a base 30. A support 40 is attached to other end of the mount 10 so as to rotate integrally with the mount 10. An LED module 51 that includes a plurality of LED chips is attached to the support 40. An end face 43a, on which the LED module 51 is attached, is provided on the support 40. The end face 43a is formed so that the direction of light emitted by the LED chips provided on the LED module 51 is inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the axial direction of the base 30.
Abstract:
An operating apparatus including a main body, a movable member, a drive unit having a drive source, and a control unit controlling the drive source to control the position of the movable member relative to the main body. The control unit including a position control system and an acceleration control system. The position control system including a position command portion, a first feedforward compensator outputting a first operation command to the drive source, a second feedforward compensator, a positional-information acquiring device obtaining information related to the position of the movable member, and a first feedback compensator outputting a second operation command to the drive source. The acceleration control system including an acceleration-information acquiring device obtaining information related to an acceleration of the main body, a third feedforward compensator, a second feedback compensator outputting a third operation command to the drive source.
Abstract:
A bush is pressed into a link plate in a turning link rank that turns relatively with a pin. The bush is molded into a seamless cylindrical shape by cold-forging and is coated with a metal carbide layer formed by cementation of chrome, vanadium and other metals and having Vickers hardness of 1300 Hv or more similarly to the pin. Afterwards, the bush is treated by a quenching, tempering or isothermal transformation process. Thereby, wear resistance of the pins and the link plates of a silent (link) chain is improved, productivity is improved and associated costs are reduced.
