Abstract:
A a recording method and apparatus for an optical disk employs a data format having a fixed pattern sync portion in which a minimum run length of zeros and the maximum run length of zeros are not adjacent to each other. As such temperature difference caused during recording the optical disk may be made smaller, thermal stress applied upon the medium may be reduced, the deterioration thereof may be restrained, and the repetitive frequency of the medium may be improved.

Abstract:
An optical head system designed to accomplish an information recording and/or reproduction from opposite disc surfaces of an optical disc with the use of a single light source. The optical head system comprises a source of light for providing a linearly polarized beam of light; a collimator lens for collimating the linearly polarized beam of light into a collimated beam of light; a polarizing direction rotating unit for arbitrarily varying a direction of linear polarization of said beam of light; a polarizing beam splitter for dividing the beam, whose direction of linear polarization has been varied, into first and second beam components; and objective lenses for focusing the first and second beam components into respective penciles of light which are projected onto first and second, opposite disc surfaces of an optical disc or one disc surfaces of respective first and second optical discs.
Abstract:
In one aspect of the invention, there is provided a molded article of crystalline thermoplastic resin with high gas barrier property of which the resin has crystalline and non-crystalline regions, the enhancing effect on gas barrier property of uniaxial-uniplanar orientation of the crystal axis direction of crystallites of said crystalline regions being used and the crystallites orientation being optimized by specific conditions. In another aspect of the invention, the molded article of the first aspect of the invention is further annealed to increase the crystallinity of the crystalline regions. The molded articles in accordance with the present invention have excellent gas barrier properties, and they are not only useful as chilled beef packaging materials, but also useful for retort food packaging, pouch packaging, coating and protecting materials for ham and sausages, processed fish, processed seafood products such as boiled fish paste, dried food for sprinkling, soup powder, parched rice cake, curry powder, spices, vegetables, fruits and pharmaceuticals.
Abstract:
A performance apparatus for producing a mixed musical tone signal having a comparator and a modulator. The comparator detects key data corresponding to musical tones having the same pitch and the same or similar tone colors from key data of musical tones to be mixed. The modulator changes at least a tone element of the mixed musical tone signal on the basis of the key data detected by the comparator to produce tones having multiple-tone like tone colors. The modulator comprises a detuner for detuning pitches of some musical tones of a plurality of musical tones formed based on the key data detected by the comparator, or comprises a modulator for modulating an amplitude or a frequency of the musical tone signal formed and mixed bases on the key data detected by the comparator.
Abstract:
An automatic performance apparatus provides a memory capable of storing plural parts of a desirable tune, wherein each part can be independently recorded or reproduced, regardless of recording or reproduction of another part. While performance information of one part is recorded or reproduced after a first detector detects the designation of recording or reproducing of one part so that an automatic performance of one part is played, the automatic performance apparatus can reproduce another performance information of another part after a second detector detects a section end of one part so that another automatic performance of another part is played. This another part is started to be automatically performed at the timing synchronizing with a progress of recording or reproducing the performance information of one part. Thus, the synchronization between one part and another part can be automatically obtained without effort.
Abstract:
An optical head in which the light emitted from a light source is narrowed to a minute spot of light and applied to a recording medium such as a disk thereby to effect recording and reproduction, or reproduction alone. A focusing plate or prism is provided in the optical path for forming the image of the light reflected from the recording medium. The focusing plate or prism has a first surface which reflects and transmits the reflected light and a second surface which is located closer to the image-forming position than the first surface and reflects the reflected light which is transmitted or reflected by the first surface. The optical head is further provided with a photodetector which is divided into at least two portions which individually receive the light rays which are respectively reflected from the first and second surfaces. A focusing servo control signal is obtained from the difference between the respective outputs of the divided photodetector portions. Moreover, a tracking servo control signal is obtained from the difference between the respective outputs of the peripheral portions among the divided photodetector portions.
Abstract:
An annular spacer to be used, during the vulcanization in a metal mold of an unvulcanized rubber hose having a mandrel pierced therethrough, as fitted around the mandrel in intimate contact with either of the opposite ends of the aforementioned unvulcanized rubber hose. This annular spacer has an outside diameter greater than the inside diameter of the depression in the aforementioned metal mold and an inside diameter enough for the spacer to be inserted around the aforementioned mandrel, contains in the periphery thereof a plurality of grooves formed in the axial direction of the spacer, and is made of a material softer than the materials of the aforementioned metal mold and mandrel. By the use of such spacers of this invention having the aforementioned characteristics, therefore, rubber hoses of a fixed outside diameter can be manufactured in any desired length in one and the same metal mold.
Abstract:
A MacPherson strut front suspension is provided with an upper spring seat assembly which retains the upper end of a front coil spring and is rotatable together with the coil spring and a strut outer tube relative to a vehicle body. The upper spring seat assembly comprises concentric inner and outer tubular members, a spring seat rubber interconnecting the inner and outer tubular members, and a shallow dish-shaped abutment member which is attached to the inner tubular member to be rotatable together therewith and abuttingly engageable to limit upward movement of the outer tubular member relative to the inner tubular member.
Abstract:
An electronic control fuel injection system for a spark ignition internal combustion engine is described wherein air flow rate is controlled as a function of fuel flow rate by transmitting an operator's depression stroke of an accelerator pedal to a fuel selecting mechanism, applying a signal representative of the selected fuel flow rate to a computer which determines the optimum air flow rate, thereby controlling the opening of a throttle valve to provide it. Within the computer, the relationship of the accelerator pedal movement to actual fuel flow command is varied in a predetermined manner to provide a desired engine response characteristic. Thus, the drive feeling for a vehicle can be varied within a range from normal to either a faster or more conservative engine reaction.
