    摘要: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing a reactor capable of both absorbing a dimensional variation of a core and preventing deformation due to a resin pressure during molding are provided. An apparatus for manufacturing a reactor is provided with a core. The apparatus includes a mold including a cavity for housing the core. The mold includes a plurality of pins protruding into the cavity. When the core is disposed in the cavity, at least one of the plurality of pins is not fixed, and each of the pins functions as a positioning pin. When a molded article is molded, the pin is fixed, and each pin functions as a core support pin for supporting the core against a resin pressure during molding.

    摘要: The material of core supporting members (12, 22) is selected such that the thermal expansion coefficient thereof is higher than that of molding sleeves (10, 20). Even when the diameter of openings (10a, 20a) of the molding sleeves (10, 20) is increased due to thermal expansion during transfer molding, the outside diameter of the core supporting members (12, 22) is further increased, gaps between the core supporting members (12, 22) and the openings (10a, 20a) are eliminated. As a result, the optical axes of transfer-molded surfaces formed on cores (13, 23) are accurately positioned with respect to the axes of the openings (10a, 20a), resulting in high-precision optical elements and the like.

The second mold half is positioned opposite to the first mold half. A first through hole is defined in the second mold half and in communication with the receiving cavity. The second mold core is received in the receiving cavity. The second mold core defines a threaded hole in a peripheral surface thereof aligned with the first through hole. The spacer is configured for being positioned between the second mold core and the second mold half. The spacer defines a second through hole therein. The bolt passes through the first through hole and is screwed in the threaded hole for securing the second mold core to the second mold half.

    摘要: In a central mechanism for a tire vulcanizer in accordance with the present invention, after a tire has been vulcanized (a bladder is expanded), a clamp rod is elevated to elevate a lower ring and separate it from a housing. After that, the clamp rod is turned so that a claw of a claw mechanism between the lower ring and the clamp rod can pass through. Then, a pin fixing a post to an upper ring is pulled out, and a bladder assembly is hung and carried out of the vulcanizer to replace the bladder and O-rings. After the bladder and other parts have been replaced, the bladder assembly is hung and mounted to the vulcanizer so that the hole for the claw mechanism of the lower ring is aligned with the upper end of the clamp rod. At this time, when the claw of the claw mechanism passes through, the lower ring is supported by the elevated clamp rod, and the lower ring and a supply/discharge opening of the housing is aligned with each other. After the mounting of the bladder assembly is completed, the pin is inserted in the upper ring and the post by reversing the above procedure to connect them to each other. The clamp rod is turned in the reverse direction to engage the claw of the claw mechanism. Then, the clamp rod is lowered to seat the lower ring on the housing, by which the preparation for vulcanizing tire is completed.

    摘要: A transducer for measuring the amount of lateral deflection taking place at the tip of a core-pin inside a mold or die cavity. Non-uniform cavity pressure and cooling patterns make core-pins prone to deflection resulting in out-of-tolerance thin and thick wall sections of the finished part. The transducer provides a means of determining deflection as it occurs during the molding process for statistical quality control. Real time measurement of the core deflection allows discrimination of unacceptable and reject parts for an automatic part sorting process. In the preferred embodiment a plurality of strain gauges mounted on the core-pin outside of the mold cavity provide real time electric signals of lateral deflection that can be used to automatically segregate reject parts and provide for statistical process control.

    摘要: An assembly for making a wax pattern of a hollow component includes a pattern die and a noncircular core which is located within the pattern die. The pattern die is a split die and includes two halves which have shaped internal surfaces to define the external shape of the wax pattern of the hollow component. The core has shaped external surfaces which define the internal shape of the wax pattern of the hollow component. The core has coaxial circular cross-section projections which locate within correspondingly shaped and dimensioned apertures in the pattern die. One of the apertures in the pattern die has a radially extending pin which is arranged to mate in a groove on the projection to locate the core longitudinally. The core is allowed to rotate within the die so that chaplets on the core position the core accurately without imposing strains on the core.
