Abstract: Provided herein are methods for determining the chance of a tumor not responding to an anti-cancer therapy (e.g., a T cell-based immunotherapy) based on the presence, density, number, and/or location of certain three-cell structures as described herein. The three-cell structures may comprise a T cell, an immunosuppressive tumor-associated macrophage, and an immunosuppressive regulatory T cell. Such methods may be useful for identifying patients not likely to respond to T cell-based immunotherapy. Also provided herein are methods for determining the prognosis and/or invasiveness of a tumor. The present disclosure also encompasses methods for treating a tumor, as well as kits for performing the methods disclosed herein.

Abstract: A spool tension system is disclosed for a spooled multi-line elongate carrier connected between a ground vehicle and a spooling apparatus, in order to connect the ground vehicle to services. A terminal of the ground vehicle is coupled to one end of the elongate carrier via a sensing arrangement which is arranged to provide a signal indicating tension at the end of the elongate carrier. The spooling apparatus is arranged to spool the elongate carrier in response to the signal, such that the tension in the elongate carrier is regulated during movement of the ground vehicle.

Abstract: The present invention is in the field of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and relates to human interleukin-2 (IL-2) for use in the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in a human subject, wherein each dose of human IL-2 administered to said subject is between 0.1×106 to 3×106 international units (IU) Human IL-2 is preferably administered in cycles of 3 to 7 days of once-daily sub-cutaneous injection of 0.1×106 to 3×106 HI human IL-2. The treatment does not comprise the administration of regulatory T cells to the subject, who is preferably also under riluzole treatment. The administered human IL-2 is preferably not complexed with anti-hIL-2 antibodies and the treatment also preferably does not comprise the administration of rapamycin or any other suppressive agent of effector T cells (Teffs) to the subject. The treatment permits to decrease plasma CCL2 concentration and to change the polarization of blood macrophages from an M1 inflammatory phenotype to an anti-inflammatory M2 phenotype involved in tissue repair.
