摘要： A recording apparatus for performing recording by reciprocally moving a liquid discharge head includes the liquid discharge head, which includes a case, a connection terminal group including a plurality of connection terminals capable of electrically connecting to the recording apparatus and which is provided on one face of the case, a liquid discharge substrate for discharging a liquid from a discharge port according to a signal transmitted from the recording apparatus via the connection terminals, and a supporting substrate supporting the liquid discharge substrate, which is provided on another one face of the case. The recording apparatus includes a standby area provided on the one end of the recording apparatus where the liquid discharge head is on stand-by when recording is not performed, and a carriage including a connection terminal which can electrically connect to the liquid discharge head, is mounted with the liquid discharge head, and reciprocally moves between the standby area and another end of the recording apparatus.

摘要： The present invention solves problems attributable to color mixing occurring at a region where an ink container containing three or more different inks and an inkjet printing head are connected as a result of repetition of connection and disconnection of the components. An ink cartridge has a joint section which is connected to a printing head unit when the inks are supplied to the printing head unit. The printing head unit performs printing by ejecting the cyan, magenta, and yellow inks. At the joint section, a supplying part for the cyan ink, a supplying part for the magenta ink, and a supplying part for the yellow ink are arranged in the order listed. The interval between the yellow ink supplying part and the magenta ink supplying part is greater than the interval between the cyan ink supplying part and the magenta ink supplying part.

摘要： A liquid discharging method for a liquid head discharge head, which is provided with a plurality of discharge ports for discharging liquid, a plurality of liquid flow paths communicated always with each of the discharge ports at one end, each having bubble generating area for creating bubble in liquid, bubble generating means for generating energy to create and grow the bubble, a plurality of liquid supply ports each arranged for each of the liquid flow paths to be communicated with common liquid supply chamber, and movable member supported with minute gap to the liquid supply port on the liquid flow path side, and provided with free end, the area of the movable member surrounded at least by the free end portion and both sides continued therefrom being made larger than the opening area of the liquid supply port facing the liquid flow path, comprises the step of setting a period for the movable member to close and essentially cut off the opening area during the period from the application of driving voltage to the bubble generating means to the substantial termination of isotropical growth of the entire bubble by the bubble generating means, hence making it possible to enhance the suppressing efficiency of the bubble growing component in the direction opposite to the discharge port, and the refilling characteristics of liquid simultaneously.
