    摘要: A semiconductor structure is provided that includes a gate, a dielectric spacer located adjacent to a sidewall of the gate, a source/drain region, and a continuous silicide strap located over the gate, the dielectric spacer and the source/drain region. The silicide strap provides an electrical connection between the gate and the source drain region. In one embodiment, the silicide strap is formed by a method that includes the steps of (1) implanting a semiconductor material, such as silicon, into upper surfaces of the gate, the dielectric spacer, and the source/drain region, (2) depositing a refractory metal over the implanted semiconductor material, and (3) reacting the refractory metal with the implanted semiconductor material, thereby forming the continuous silicide strap at the upper surfaces of the gate, the dielectric spacer and the source/drain region. Advantageously, the dielectric spacer does not need to be removed prior to forming the silicide strap.

    摘要: Internally calibrated pH and other analyte sensors based on redox agents provide more accurate results when the redox active reference agent is in a constant chemical environment, yet separated from the solution being analyzed in such a way as to maintain electrical contact with the sample. Room temperature ionic liquids (RTIL) can be used to achieve these results when used as a salt bridge between the reference material and the sample being analyzed. The RTIL provides the constant chemical environment and ionic strength for the redox active material (RAM) and provides an electrolytic layer that limits or eliminates direct chemical interaction with the sample. A broad range of RAMs can be employed in a variety of configurations in such “Analyte Insensitive Electrode” devices.

    摘要: In one embodiment, a method for sending a video message and a text message in a communication session is provided. The method includes determining when a contextual trigger is detected in the communication session between a first user and a second user. For example, the contextual trigger may be when a first user focuses on a window being used for the communication session. The first user may then input a text message. A video message of the first user in the communication session is also determined. The video message is determined based on when the contextual trigger is determined. For example, the video message may include video from a time before when the contextual trigger is determined, such as 10 or 20 seconds before, until a time when the first user is finished inputting the text message. The text message and video message are then sent to a second user.
