The present invention provides an image encoding apparatus carrying out inter-color prediction, comprising a residual block acquisition module obtaining a residual block with respect to a first color component and a residual block with respect to a second color component from a difference between an input block and a prediction block; an inter-color component prediction module carrying out inter-color component prediction by generating a residual signal reflecting a difference between a residual block with respect to the first color component and a residual block with respect to the second color component; a transform module generating a transformat coefficient by carrying out transformation with respect to the residual signal; a quantization module generating quantized data by carrying out quantization with respect to the transform coefficient; and an entropy encoding module carrying out entropy encoding by removing statistical redundancy of the quantized data.

According to the present invention, an image encoding/decoding method comprises the steps of: performing an intra prediction on a current block so as to generate a prediction block; performing filtering on a filtering target pixel in the prediction block on the basis of the intra prediction mode of the current block so as to generate a final prediction block; and generating a reconstructed block on the basis of a reconstructed differential block corresponding to the current block and on the final prediction block. According to the present invention, image encoding/decoding efficiency can be improved.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to correcting errors of multiple stream-based 3D images. The present invention comprises a 3D image synchronizing unit which synchronizes a first image and a second image consisting the 3D image; a 3D image correcting unit which detects an error block in the first image, searches a corresponding block in the second image, and corrects the error block on the basis of the block information of said corresponding block; and a compositing unit which composites the corrected first image and the second image to generate a 3D stereoscopic image. According to the present invention, bit errors occurring when transmitting multiple stream of 3D image can be corrected, providing better quality of 3D images. Also, error correction can be easily performed by using the method of the present invention without complicated calculations.

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for setting a reference picture index of a temporal merging candidate. An inter-picture prediction method using a temporal merging candidate can include the steps of determining a reference picture index for a current block; and inducing a temporal merging candidate block of the current block and calculating a temporal merging candidate from the temporal merging candidate block, wherein the reference picture index of the temporal merging candidate can be calculated regardless of whether a block other than the current block is decoded. Accordingly, a video processing speed can be increased and video processing complexity can be reduced.
