    摘要: An electrophotographic lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a conductive support having provided thereon at least one photoconductive layer and further provided thereon an outermost surface layer is disclosed, in which said surface layer contains at least one resin having at least one functional group capable of forming a carboxyl group upon decomposition which is represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein x is as defined in the specification. The surface layer can be rendered highly hydrophilic while exhibiting water resistance when subjected to oil-desensitization processing after toner image formation to provide a lithographic printing plate having excellent printing durability.

    摘要: An ink jet printing method which comprises: directly forming an image on a printing medium on the basis of signals of image data; and fixing the image to produce a printed matter, wherein said image formation is carried out by an ink jet system of ejecting an oily ink by an electrostatic field. The method preferably further comprises cleaning an ink jet head, said cleaning step comprising: immersing said ink jet head in a cleaning solution; and applying voltage to said ink jet head. Alternatively, the method preferably further comprises, when a malfunction happens, either or both of stopping the image formation and eliminating a cause of the malfunction. Also disclosed are printing apparatuses suitably used for these methods.

    摘要: An oil-based ink for a printing plate by an ink jet process comprising spraying an oil-based ink comprising at least resin particles dispersed in a nonaqueous carrier liquid having an electric resistance of 10.sup.9 .OMEGA.cm or more and a dielectric constant of 3.5 or less on an image receiving layer of a lithographic printing plate precursor dropwise from a nozzle to form an image, and then desensitizing a non-image area of the image receiving layer by a chemical reaction to prepare a lithographic printing plate, the image receiving layer being formed on a water-resistant support and comprising zinc oxide and a binding resin; and a surface of the image receiving layer having a contact angle with water of 50.degree. or more, wherein the resin particles dispersed are polymer particles obtained by polymerization granulation of a solution comprising (i), (ii) and (iii): (i) at least one monofunctional monomer (A) which is soluble in a nonaqueous solvent which is at least miscible with the nonaqueous carrier liquid and becomes insoluble therein by polymerization; (ii) (ii-a) at least one monomer which is copolymerizable with the monomer (A), or (ii-b) at least one monofunctional macromonomer (MA) having a weight average molecular weight of 2.times.10.sup.4 or less in which a polymerizable double bond group is combined with only one end of a main chain of a polymer comprising a repeating unit corresponding to a monomer; and (iii) at least one dispersion-stabilizing resin which is soluble in the nonaqueous solvent and has no graft group polymerizing with a monomer.

    摘要: Disclosed is electrophotolithographic plate precursor having on a conductive support at least one photoconductive layer containing at least a random copolymer binder resin (P) (i) having a weight average molecular weight of from 5.times.10.sup.4 to 5.times.10.sup.5, (ii) comprising (a) a polymer component comprising particular methacrylate or acrylate monomers, (b) a polymer component containing at least one particular polar group and (c) a polymer component having a Fedors' solution parameter of 9.0 or more and containing at least a particular aprotic polar group, and (iii) having at least a particular polar group at one end of the main chain of the copolymer. The plate precursor may be etched with a combination of an etchant and a wetting water both having no problem in the environmental sanitation, to be formed into an offset printing plate not generating background staining. The printing plate has high printing durability and has excellent rubbing resistance.
