摘要: A recording system includes a recorder configured to eject a liquid to perform recording on a recording surface of a medium, a first discharger, a second discharger, and an external controller. The first discharger configured to discharge the medium on which recording is performed by the recorder, is configured to discharge the medium with the recording surface facing down. The second discharger configured to discharge the medium on which recording is performed by the recorder, is configured to discharge the medium with the recording surface facing up. In the recording system, the external controller is configured to, when a predetermined medium is set as an object on which recording is to be performed, output a message that provides a warning not to touch the recording surface of the predetermined medium.

摘要: A printing apparatus includes a printing unit discharging a plurality of different pigmented inks onto a transfer member and forming an ink image, a processing unit performing processing such that each of the pigmented inks applied on the transfer member forms a layer, and a transfer unit transferring the ink image from the transfer member onto the printing medium conveyed by the conveyance unit. The pigmented inks include cyan, magenta, yellow, and black inks as pigmented inks of four basic colors, and at least one pigmented ink different from the pigmented inks of basic colors. A first ink at least one of the pigmented inks of the basic colors is applied onto the transfer member after a second ink is applied. The second ink is the pigmented ink different from the pigmented inks of the basic colors and has a color material density lower than that of the first ink.

摘要: An indirect printing system is disclosed having an intermediate transfer member (ITM) in the form of an endless belt that circulates during operation to transport ink images from an image forming station. Ink images are deposited on an outer surface of the ITM by one or a plurality of print bars. At an impression station, the ink images are transferred from the outer surface of the ITM onto a printing substrate. In some embodiments, the outer surface of the ITM 20 is maintained within the image forming station at a predetermined distance from the one or each of the print bars 10, 12, 14 and 16 by means of a plurality of support rollers 11, 13, 15, 17 that have a common flat tangential plane and contact the inner surface of the ITM. In some embodiments, the inner surface of the ITM is attracted to the support rollers, the attraction being such that the area of contact between the ITM and each support roller is greater on the downstream side than the upstream side of the support roller, referenced to the direction of movement of the ITM.

The belt is laid across at least two rollers so as to move around the rollers. The image forming unit ejects an ink to an image forming region of the belt, thereby forming a primary image. The image forming region is arranged between the rollers. The transfer unit transfers the primary image formed in the image forming region by the image forming unit to a recording medium. The heating unit heats the image forming region. The hardware processor controls a temperature of the image forming region by causing the heating unit to heat the image forming region.

The printing apparatus further includes an acceleration control unit controlling, if the sheet is displaced from the retracted state to the contact state, an acceleration operation of the transfer section and the sheet, and a determination unit determining an acceleration operation start portion which is located at a liquid absorbing position where the sheet contacts the transfer section when the acceleration control unit starts the acceleration operation.
