摘要: In an automatically swingable compact rear view mirror carried by a universal pivotal center support within a hood, a drive motor electrically connected to a given remote control equipment for the driver includes an output shaft which extends, on the side opposite to the end opening of said hood which said mirror faces, substantially parallel to the axial direction of a mechanism for moving a universal pivot coupled to the mirror for free swinging of the latter about the center support. Preferably a pair of universal pivots may be provided on the mirror defining a center angle of approximately 90.degree. with respect to the center support.

摘要: A separator has a concavo-convex structure formed in mutually reversed shapes on two opposite sides thereof to define flow paths of different fluids on the respective two sides. The concavo-convex structure includes multiple first projections formed and protruded on one side of the two opposite sides and arranged at intervals having a preset regularity. The concavo-convex structure also includes multiple second projections formed and protruded on the other side of the two opposite sides in a specific area corresponding to an area for formation of the multiple first projections on the one side and arranged at intervals having a preset regularity. The concavo-convex structure further includes reinforcing elements protruded on the one side. Each of the reinforcing elements is formed as a convex in a specific shape of connecting multiple positions where the first projections are expected to be formed according to the preset regularity, while avoiding positions corresponding to the second projections formed on the other side. This arrangement effectively prevents a potential trouble caused by deformation of the separator due to a pressure difference between the flow pressures of the respective fluids flowing on the respective sides of the separator.

摘要: A head drive device of an inkjet printer having a nozzles and corresponding actuators that jet liquid drops. A drive section that generates a drive signal to the actuators. The head drive device includes a drive waveform signal which is used as a reference of a signal to control drive of the actuators. A modulating section modulates a pulse of a drive waveform signal generated by the drive waveform generating system. A low pass filter smoothes a power-amplified modulated signal subjected to the power amplification by the digital power amplifier and supplies the signal as a drive signal to the actuators. A frequency characteristics adjusting section adjusts frequency characteristics of the low pass filter as a function of the number of the actuators.

摘要: A general purpose engine is provided with an engine main body, a rotary shaft, and an axial gap type motor/generator. The rotary shaft is rotated by a driving force of the engine main body. The rotary shaft includes a first shaft part disposed on one side portion of the engine main body and a second shaft part disposed on another side portion of the engine main body. The axial gap type motor/generator is attached integrally to the second shaft part. The axial gap type motor/generator is provided with a power generating rotor that rotates integrally with said rotary shaft, and a stator that is attached to the engine main body. The stator is disposed on a side closer to the engine main body than the power generating rotor and at a remove from the power generating rotor.

摘要: A thin film made of a material containing a metal and silicon is formed on a light-transmissive substrate. Then, a treatment is performed to modify a main surface of the thin film in advance so that when exposure light having a wavelength of 200 nm or less is accumulatively irradiated on a thin film pattern of a photomask to be produced by patterning the thin film, the transfer characteristic of the thin film pattern does not change more than a predetermined degree. This treatment is performed by carrying out, for example, a heat treatment in an atmosphere containing oxygen at 450° C. to 900° C.

摘要: A communication terminal (10) including a first communication unit (11) and a second communication unit (12) with a shorter communication distance than the first communication unit (11) includes a presence status detection unit (13) that detects that a distance from a personal computer (50) has changed from a state possible to communicate to a state not possible to communicate for the second communication unit (12), and a communication status control unit (14) that causes a standby interval in intermittent reception performed by the first communication unit (11) to become shorter when a change of the second communication unit (12) from the state possible to communicate to the state not possible to communicate is detected by the presence status detection unit (13). This enables more detailed and accurate tracking of the connection status of the first communication unit (11), which can advance the timing to bring the first communication unit (11) to transition to a disconnection state or a standby state, allowing reduction of power consumption in the first communication unit (11).
