Abstract: A mixture comprising a linear copolymer comprising acrylic acid and 2-acrylamido-2-methyl propane sulfonic acid, water and one or more metal oxide ceramic nanoparticles with a mean particle size of up to 100 nanometers, preferably up to 60 nanometers, more preferably within the range between 20 nanometers and 60 nanometers, e.g., 40 nm. The mixture can be used in formation of doughs which are suitable for green machining. Molar ratio between acrylic acid and 2-acrylamido-2-methyl propane sulfonic acid in the copolymer can optionally be within the range between 0.8:1 and 1:0.8. In the mixture, the linear copolymer can be present at a concentration within an optional range between 1 wt. % and 2 wt. % based on total solid content. In the mixture, the one or more metal oxide ceramic nanoparticles can be present at a concentration within an optional range between 60 wt. % and 70 wt. %.

Abstract: A process of forming a sintered article includes heating a green portion of a tape of polycrystalline ceramic and/or minerals in organic binder at a binder removal zone to a temperature sufficient to pyrolyze the binder; horizontally conveying the portion of tape with organic binder removed from the binder removal zone to a sintering zone; and sintering polycrystalline ceramic and/or minerals of the portion of tape at the sintering zone, wherein the tape simultaneously extends through the removal and sintering zones.

Abstract: [Object] An object of the present invention is to provide a high-aspect-ratio plate-like alumina particle having low aggregability and high dispersibility and a method for producing the particle.
[Solving Means] The above problem is solved by providing a plate-like alumina particle including a step of firing an aluminum compound in the presence of a shape-controlling agent and a molybdenum compound serving as a fluxing agent. The above problem is solved also by providing a method for producing a plate-like alumina particle, the method including a step in which the aluminum compound and the molybdenum compound react with each other to form aluminum molybdate and a step in which the aluminum molybdate is decomposed to obtain the plate-like alumina particle.-
