    摘要: To eliminate or otherwise reduce non-uniform brightness of an image of a display apparatus, an image is projected through a projection optical system having a projection lens (2), curved surface reflection mirrors (4 and 5), and a reflection mirror (6) onto a rear surface of the rear-surface projection type screen (3). The rear-surface projection type screen includes a Fresnel lens sheet (8), wherein the prism surfaces of the Fresnel lens are formed in an aspheric configuration, thereby letting the light beams from the screen to exit at an exit angle of about zero (0) degree relative to a line perpendicular to the screen surface, over most of the entire surface thereof. It is possible to obtain a projection image that having uniform brightness in an image display apparatus while maintaining a thin cabinet (7) profile.

    摘要: In a halftone phase shift mask blank comprising a halftone phase shift film on a substrate which is transparent to exposure light, the halftone phase shift film comprises a metal, silicon, and optionally oxygen and nitrogen. The halftone phase shift film experiences a phase difference change of up to 1 deg. and a transmittance change of up to 0.2% before and after it is exposed to light in a cumulative dose of 1 kJ/cm2. The halftone phase shift film has excellent resistance to exposure light, specifically high-energy exposure light of short wavelength such as ArF or F2 laser beam (193 or 157 nm).

    摘要: A total reflecting prism portion is formed on an image generation source side of a Fresnel lens sheet which constitutes a rear projection type screen. The total reflecting prism portion is formed in an area in which the angle of incidence of a projection image projected from an optical part on the Fresnel lens sheet is at least about 40°. The total reflecting prism portion causes incident light to be outputted as output light at a predetermined output angle by a total reflection phenomenon after a first refraction phenomenon. A refracting prism portion is formed on an image monitoring side of the Fresnel lens sheet. The refracting prism portion is formed in an area opposed to the portion where the total reflecting prism portion is not formed. The refracting prism portion causes incident light to be outputted as output light at a predetermined output angle by a second refraction phenomenon.
