    摘要: A rear holder for a waterproof connector which causes no short shots is provided. The metal mold for forming this rear holder is easy to produce. The rear holder includes a resin material member and a rubber material member. The resin material member is provided with a plate-like holding member substantially in parallel with the terminal insertion side end face thereof. Holder terminal insertion holes and holder connecting holes penetrate through the plate-like holding member. The rubber material member is made up of a front portion, a rear portion, and a connecting portion. The front portion and the rear portion are separated from each other by the plate-like holding member of the resin material member, and are connected by the connecting portion that penetrates through the holder connecting holes of the resin material member. A front rubber member terminal insertion hole and a rear rubber member terminal insertion hole penetrate through the front portion and the rear portion, respectively, and communicate with the holder terminal insertion holes of the resin material member.

    摘要: After terminals have been inserted into terminal accommodating chambers, ends of retaining rods projecting from a spacer are moved toward entrances of refuge spaces for elastic retaining pieces that primarily retain the terminals. Then, the ends of the retaining rods are fitted into the refuge spaces. As a result, flexion of the elastic retaining pieces is regulated. On the other hand, when the terminals are inserted incompletely, the refuge spaces are substantially closed by the elastic retaining pieces.

A C-shaped mandrel extends around the pin and substrate end enabling the pin/mandrel to be used during the manufacturing process as an arbor to facilitate winding layers of a spiral jellyroll electrode assembly. The pin additionally extends from the battery case and in the final product constitutes one of the battery terminals with the battery case comprising the other terminal. Active material is removed from both sides of the outer end of the negative electrode in the jellyroll to allow room for adhesive tape to secure the jellyroll. The electrolyte is injected through the open end of the case after the endcap is welded to the negative electrode but before sealing the endcap to the case. The electrolyte is preferably injected through the C-shaped mandrel to facilitate and speed filling.
