Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device with a sensor includes: a substrate including a display region and a peripheral region on a periphery of the display region; detection electrodes arranged in a row-column configuration in the display region; and detection lines coupled to the respective detection electrodes. A shape of the substrate in a plan view includes a curve of a curved portion. The detection electrodes include a first electrode and a second electrode having a shape different from that of the first electrode in a plan view. The second electrode is juxtaposed with the curved portion. The detection lines each include a first line coupled to the first electrode and a second line coupled to the second electrode. The second line passes from the display region across the peripheral region and extends to a position overlapping with the second electrode in a plan view.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer and an illumination device. The first substrate includes a base, a sensor, a sensor circuit and a sensor light-shielding layer. The sensor is located between the base and the liquid crystal layer in a display area that includes pixels, and outputs a detection signal corresponding to light becoming incident from a side of the liquid crystal layer. The sensor circuit includes a switching element and is connected to the sensor. The sensor light-shielding layer is opposed to a channel area formed in a semiconductor layer included in the switching element, and blocks light from the illumination device on the channel area.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device having an outer shape of a display region formed other than a rectangle. A driver for supplying a video signal is disposed outside the display region. A selector with selector TFT is disposed between the display region and the driver. A video signal line is disposed between the driver and the selector, and a drain line is disposed between the selector and the display region. A scanning circuit for supplying a scanning signal to the scanning line is disposed outside the display region. The selector is disposed between the scanning line and the display region, and covered with ITO as the common electrode. The common bus wiring is disposed outside the selector.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a detection device includes: a substrate; photoelectric conversion elements arranged on the substrate; transistors that each include a semiconductor layer and a gate electrode facing the semiconductor layer and are provided for each photoelectric conversion element; and a first electrode and a second electrode that are provided between the substrate and the photoelectric conversion elements in a direction orthogonal to the substrate and face each other with an insulating film interposed therebetween. The first electrode includes main parts that overlap the respective photoelectric conversion elements and a coupling part couples together adjacent main parts of the main parts. The second electrode is formed to have an island pattern for each photoelectric conversion element. The first electrode is located in the same layer as that of the gate electrode. The second electrode is located in the same layer as that of the semiconductor layer.

Abstract: A display device having a Near Field Communication (NFC) function and a display panel installed with the touch panel function comprising: the common voltage is applied to all the display electrodes (Tx1 through Txn) during a display operation; the voltage for the touch panel is successively applied to the display electrodes during the touch panel operation; a first circuit, which changes between the display operation and the touch panel operation, is formed at a first side of the display area, a second circuit, which changes between the image display operation and the touch panel operation, is formed at a second side of the display area; the first circuit supplies the voltage for the touch panel to a selected display electrode and supplies the common electrode to other electrodes; the second switch circuit does not supply voltage to the selected display electrode and supplies the common voltage to other electrodes.
