摘要: In a distributed hash table (DHT), a participating node has a routing cache associating nodes in the DHT with their respective network addresses. Messages can be routed with the routing table using prefix-matching or numerical-closeness without requiring rigid structuring of the node's cache. Entries in the cache may be replaced using routing information obtained from en route messages. Entries in the routing cache may be replaced without regard for the nodeIDs in or entering the routing cache, and/or without structuring the routing cache according to the nodeIDs placed therein. Cache entries may be replaced randomly.

摘要: Methods and systems that can detect low ink levels in an ink supply and that allows replacement of the ink supply without having to stop the printing operations. A printing system is provide with a sub-tank from which the print head receives ink. A removable ink tank supplies ink to the sub-tank. The removable ink tank is provided with a memory device to store information associated with the ink tank. A sensor is provided in the sub-tank from which the amount of ink in the sub-tank can be determined. The system reads the memory device on the ink tank and monitors the sensor in the sub-tank to determine operating conditions for the system. The ink tank can be replaced without having to stop the printing process.

摘要: A method and software product for capturing decision data and generating JUnit/NUnit tests for each of a JAVA or C# code unit basis paths. The present software erects a user-interface for guiding a user through the basis paths in their source code and assisting them in creating the test data necessary to exercise each of those paths. At each decision in a given path, the software tells the user that the decision must evaluate either true or false to follow the current path, and it allows them to specify, select, or construct test data that will satisfy this condition. After the user has specified test data for all test paths, the software creates a new class containing a rewritten version of the user's original source code that allows test data to be injected at each decision while still preserving the overall control flow of the original code. The software then creates a complete JUnit or NUnit test suite to test each basis path from the original class in the new class by injecting the test data specified by the user.

The working set (WS) improvement system of the present invention employs a two-phase technique for improving the working set. In the first phase, the WS improvement system inputs the program image and outputs a program image with the locality of its references improved. In the second phase, the WS improvement system inputs the program image with its locality of references improved and outputs a program image with the placement of its basic blocks in relation to page boundaries improved so that the working set is reduced.

摘要: The present invention relates to an articulated micro-electro-mechanical (MEMS) device, which is constructed in such a way as to enable several of the devices to be closely packed together, i.e. high fill factor, for redirecting specific wavelengths of light from a dispersed optical signal to different output ports. The articulated MEMS device includes multiple pivotally connected sections that are pivotable about two perpendicular axes for limiting the amount of dynamic cross-talk as the device is rotated between different positions.

摘要: A micro-electro-mechanical (MEMs) mirror device for use in an optical switch is disclosed. A “piano”-style MEMs device includes an elongated platform pivotally mounted proximate the middle thereof by a torsional hinge. The middle portion of the platform and the torsional hinge have a combined width less than the width of the rest of the platform, whereby several of these “piano” MEMs devices can be positioned adjacent each other pivotally mounted about the same axis with only a relatively small air gap therebetween. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention specially designed for wavelength switching applications, a greater range of arcuate motion for a mirror mounted thereon is provided by enabling the platform to rotate about two perpendicular axes. The MEMs mirror device according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention enables the mirror to tilt about two perpendicular axes, by the use of an “internal” gimbal ring construction, which ensures that a plurality of adjacent mirror devices have a high fill factor, without having to rely on complicated and costly manufacturing processes. To limit the amount of electrical crosstalk between adjacent mirrors, shielding can be positioned between the electrodes. The shielding can extend upwardly from the substrate and/or downwardly from the undersurface of the mirrors. When both types of shielding are provided, one set is offset from the other to prevent abutment thereof, and to enable an overlapping effect, which enhances the protection.

摘要: A radio frequency transmission device including electronic circuitry. A digital logic circuit is alternate-able from a sleep mode to an active mode after a pre-determined time period, and back to the sleep mode immediately after transmission of a digital signal. The digital signal includes a unique and pre-determined sequence of fixed length pulses routed to a transmission circuit to transmit a radio signal in a specific frequency range. An output display signal from the output circuitry is displayed with an LED. An input circuitry is manually activated. A radio frequency signal is received with a receiver circuitry, sensed to determine if the received signal has a compatible characteristic of an expected signal. The radio frequency signal is converted into a digital form and sent to the microprocessor. Every associated transmitter device is tracked with a counter maintained by a microprocessor. Personnel, belongings and pets can be tracked with this device.
